Male Performer Chat: Party chat etiquette
I was just wondering how you think a party chat should work. I was in one with a model who said if we get to a certain level of credits tipped, he would shoot his load. After a lot of us pledged 200+ credits and we were very close to his stated goal, a member says how much to take you private. He abruptly ends the party chat and says we can go to multi-user for 90 cpm to see him shoot. Lesson learned I guess not to trust him. Is this how most party chats work? Or do most models honor their party chats?

...No it isn't how most party chats work and they shouldn't be that way. The member was wrong to make the offer to the model and the model was wrong to accept the offer. You would be well advised to avoid that model in the future. Quote

Totally inappropriate for a model to behave that way. This is where group chat would have been a far better 'mode' to be in. There's no risk to a member losing their credits in this way with group chat. Are you willing to name the model involved so other members know to avoid his party chats ? Quote

I have seen models disappear to pvt here (or to linked sites) quite a few times during Party Chat, and also during the pledge stage of Group Chat. I have to say that I have some sympathy for the models here. A member who is ready for an instant private show can be a better prospect than loads of guys who are slow or reluctant to tip or pledge. If the member is completely at fault for offering to go pvt during a Party Chat then that makes the model rather less at fault for saying "yes" rather than "no".
Offering the party members the chance of multi seems better than going pvt 1-to-1. The voyeur option should still be available. However, I agree that multi at 90 cpm sounds a bit excessive and doesn't reflect well on the model in this case. Quote

It happens so frequently that I no longer tip during the show. I tip at the end of the show. What the model did in the show determines the size of the tip. Quote

Any model who can charge 90 CPM has to be a very experienced "premiere" model, and ought to be fully aware of the etiquette of parties at this stage of the game. This is not a rookie mistake, whoever it is, and his customers deserve an apology. Quote

...ronnie, I must disagree with you on this one. It was stated that a lot of us "pledged",200 credits. I believe he meant tipped as it was a party show, and were very close to his stated goal. As you well know party tips do not get returned in the situation that occured. If it had been a group chat you would get your 200 credits returned, no harm done. How would you personally have felt had you tipped 200 credits only to have the model go into a 90 credit multi-user and you would have lost your 200 credits. I know that I would not have been very happy, just another reason why I prefer Group Chats over Party chats. Quote

party chats tend to show the ethics, good and bad, of both models and members. There are models who will go out of their way to make things right if something should happen to the party or if someone tips a lot but the goal isn't met. Others seem to always be arguing and complaining about the tips. Members who entice a model into a pvt in the middle of tipping for a party are worse.
Like Phil I prefer group chats. They are safer for both models and members and generally don't create controversy in the rooms. I really don't come here because I'm looking for drama.
I generally try to only give tips in party chats where I like the model enough that I'm ok with it being just a tip if nothing happens. That way I don't leave upset. Quote

As you well know party tips do not get returned in the situation that occured. If it had been a group chat you would get your 200 credits returned, no harm done. How would you personally have felt had you tipped 200 credits only to have the model go into a 90 credit multi-user and you would have lost your 200 credits. I know that I would not have been very happy, just another reason why I prefer Group Chats over Party chats.

I assumed this was a total for the cum show stage, made up of lots of 5, 10 and 25 tips. If it is lots of guys each giving 200 or more, then we are talking about 1,000 or 1,200 already tipped and a target even higher for a cum show in Party Chat. I agree that this would make the model's agreement to go pvt/multi much less defensible (and also very unusual and surprising).
I think we all agree that with a target of 1,400 or 1,600 for a cum show it would be much better for the performer to do Group Chat.
I generally try to only give tips in party chats where I like the model enough that I'm ok with it being just a tip if nothing happens. That way I don't leave upset.

And trust me, being 250 credits shy of making his goal, I was shocked when he went multi-user. People were pledging so it was not like he would have not met his goal.

Whether this works or not is very dependent on the individual model. I've been in a Party Chat where the model had already received a lot of tips, and said he would cum for another 250. He only got 100 but decided to cum anyway, which I thought was a very nice gesture.
Another model I've been with does a count down (as do the members) so that everyone knows if the target tips has been reached. The same model had delivered more mundane displays - hard cock, ass, feet - all the usual stuff, and had reasonably delivered against the tips, when a member asked if he would go Pvt. To his credit, the model asked those that had tipped if he could end the Party session, and only did so when everyone agreed.
The downside is that during a Party Chat where a model had been edging for probably 30 minutes, I offered him 500 credit tip to cum. He agreed but took so long that the Party Chat finished. He then told me he would cum in Private - which like an idiot I agreed to, and he took another 600 credits off me (10 minutes) and still didn't cum.
