A current "name and shame" topic here complains about a Party Chat by a top performer.
The performer promised a cum shot if he got 400 credits in tips. He only got 365, and didn't deliver a cum shot. That is always a possibility when tipping in Party Chat.
If the performer promises something for a fixed target then Group Chat is ALWAYS the preferred option. That is particularly true now, since changes to the interface seem to have made it more difficult for performers to keep track of tips.
In Group Chat the tips are offered as pledges, and are added up AUTOMATICALLY. No arguments. Also, if there is no show all the tips (pledges) are refunded.
Group Chat is much the better option

I have just seen another post about non-tippers in party chat. It makes the suggestion that there should be a flat rate (10 or 25 credits) for members to join in a party chat.
That is why group chat was introduced. It is even more flexible now. Performers can even do a party-style group if they want. They could advertise "exclusive party - only 10 credits to join - then tips for show". Not sure if any performers do this...
I have always been a fan of group chat. Much prefer it to party chat
