Technical Support: delayed and/or absent notification e-mails
This is my first post here, and I apologize if I make any mistakes or am in the wrong forum.
I have not been receiving notification e-mails about various models' coming online on a regular basis. Some I get within a few minutes. Others do not arrive for an hour or more. Some even arrive after the model has been online for several hours and has already logged off. And others never arrive, even though I was actually in that model's room for a while.
Is this normal? Does it have to do with the region the model is located in? Quote

Welcome to the Forum, definitely OK to post here or to email us directly.
Sorry to hear that you're having problems. Earlier this week we had actually made improvements to the sending of the online notifications. I thought the were going out faster, not slower.
We'll take a look at the code again to see if anything went awry. Another thing that can happen is that some email providers will "delay" or "defer" messages from time to time. This is out of our control but we do our best to work with the different ISPs when we know this is happening to one of our servers.

Also worth noting that we only send 1 email notification per model and user combination every 8 hours.

I have no problem with the 1 e-mail per 8 hours. I understand that sometimes for whatever reason a model would have to log off and then log in again a short while later...it would be problematic for e-mails to be sent repeatedly.
I can also understand my e-mail provider could be delaying delivery (though I have already contacted them and they said they were not).
