Technical Support: Extra Fees?

Last week, I had a show and used a Deal code. However, before I fully entered it I was first charged a "small fee" of $4.50. This was something that has never happened to me before in my two years on the site so I was a bit taken back. I recently had another show but this time, was not charged this extra fee.
So I'm just wondering if this has happened to anyone else? Also, I would've appreciated some sort of notice beforehand of ANY extra fees that may pop unless I just completely missed a disclaimer on this issue somewhere. Quote

Are there recurring fees outside the normal monthly VIP Membership? I just noticed a charge from two weeks ago but don't recall signing up for anything extra?
