Text was all grey even if you had registered a card except for VIP who were gold. site had staff roaming the rooms as monitors to weed out troublemakers.
No such thing as Premiere just basic 60cpm, no forums and feature shows were less frequent with big name pornstars such s Carmen Luvana, Tera Patrick, Gina Linn etc.
But time marches on and so does the webcam chat business so instead of wishing it was like back in the day i just go with the flow and look to the future.
Only a decade?
You've lost track of time Suggs; last millennium was more than a decade ago
And though its only been a little over 4 years since the 'change' most vivid in my mind, it seems the 'search' and the void, however unfair the comparisons to those i've liked since, has been so much longer. Quote

Ah yes you see... There are countless stories like his... So many different things we look for.. Too many characters for one historian to engage. The carpet has so many threads that not all are visible, not completely.
I've already told a little the story of pucedick, he's one of Dudley's people. The model he seeks. The fetish she has. The definition of puce. Years ago, in the mists of time, we left it that she had vanished, like so many others, that's how it is you know... and he was still returning, late at night, to eat his snack and do his light model tipping. He of course is part of the history here. One man's quest for a lost model. Yeah and still is. Sometimes with some tears running down a forgotten face... forgotten by his favorite model... who no longer needs his light tipping.
Oh I could tell you stories, tales of legends bold. But I don't think I should. Those nights, so long ago, when we gave a rousing cheer as one of our heros left a private room victorious, they are now where heros departed now sup, sup with the gods. The bold. The characters. The clever with dreams realized before our wondering eyes. The unready... dashed to pieces in the rapids of Flirt fortune.
Here's to your contest winners great and small. Here's to your large tippers short and tall. In our Octobers we greeted the harvest in the chill air and in our Marches we greeted the sun and planted our seed. At no time did it seem like anything but the ordinary day dressed with occasional ribbons... yet time did slide by and the landscape continues to change. As the river cuts into the canyon so are these... these flirts of our lives.

One day, in a comprehensible post, i'm hoping he can explain going over THE EDGE", because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over.

Cool : ) Love when technology opens up new worlds for people. And there are more and more options. The guy that likes converting color to sound can also opt for a handheld device and occasional use.
Makes u motivated to try stuff in your own garage : )

Thorndike: To me, who is after all an applier of Philosophy and other fields, methods, to the problem of flirt... Foucault is primarily a defender of freedom, freeing from conformity, an aid to seeing traps in our thinking, hidden arbitrary rules, assumptions. Not so much a supplier of specific models to particular problems - no matter how much joy he may have taken in attempting. In that sense the mere fact that I am able to supply a solution to flirt's problems, anchored deep in the substrate of thought, is due to his work and indeed that of his predecessors... yea we stand on the shoulders of giants do we not?
However the mathematics of my group theory... borrowing as much from the Banzai Institute's research into Manitude theory as from any other source... nevertheless is original. The DoRide Foundation has given me a grant to continue this work until completion, an honor reserved for only a few researchers.
But I mention all of this only to pay tribute to all the interleaved threads that are tugged in the creation of a new idea in this modern time.

So far it's been all about the interface. You don't think there has been a change in sexual taste? Or what people are actually doing in the rooms?
I think there was some shyness when couples rooms were first introduced. There were just a few of them, a lot of people went to check them out and the comments kinda showed that it was a novel concept for the crowd. heh heh but there's no such hesitation today. Plenty of rooms, lot's of action, and the chat is pretty normal looking.
I think there are quiet revolutions going on all the time. You have to look sharply to see them.
I think the focus has shifted from, for lack of a better term, relationship building within this context, to all about the money. From show pricing, to how the credits are packaged all the way to the promo price points.

While some historians have evoked the marketplace as the sole force, or at least the primary force, motivating design, policy, and all aspects of daily life... is there not evidence of other objectives?
How does the cynic explain the rich emoticon language? The love put into forum design? The true ruthless profit-driven corporation would have jettisoned long ago any frills that deviate from the mission statement and bottom line.
How do you explain the unusual model? The doll house builder, the ultra yellow rooms, the deadly pink rooms, the hello kitty room? How do u explain the lack of uniformity in cushion pillows? The great lavish tea cups? The mink coats ? The bikinis in February?
No it is because the office supplies are not locked away in a closet. It is because of the evidence that there is a desire to create experiences as well as put bread on industry worker's tables. Experiences! Experiences! People forming experiences!
Character is not just built in the middle of a lightning struck lake in an aluminum canoe. The broomsticks of the spines can be built by carefully crafted experiences... experiences... of the mind and senses.
