dunh -dunnuh- nuhh MATHBOY to the rescue...
Ohhh Ron.. your last two posts indicate that between postings, 4 outta 5 posters voted FOR the slightly inflated emoticons. When in fact, two of the posts did not contain a yes OR a no, and out of the remaining three, there were 3 no's and halfa yes. I'm startin' to think you secretly dig 'em.
and that ladies and gentlemen, is why i love this site
Umm have ya checked all the different forum sections where ron has posted his yes / no thread? It's in at least 2 sections. Quote

I agree, SlVlASl - it does seem odd that 4 out 5 have voted YES. (If you check, you will see it is actually 4 out of 7).
The voting is going on in 2 forums, as Suggs points out. There were 3 NO votes in the straight forum and 2 YES votes in the gay forum since my last summary 3 days ago.
In addition there was an earlier YES vote from a gay duo, which I had discounted because I thought it was a joke. However, there were suggestions I was being one-sided so I felt that I should treat this as 2 YES votes. If anyone here wants to see the posts about this in the gay forum the link is:

I loved your "DuRr" vote, by the way, but obviously couldn't treat this as a YES or a NO. Quote

1st - you have THREE polls in 3 forums . You also "campaign" in even a topic in "News and Announcement" Forum .
I think 1st talking to Customer Service would have been a better move
Members can simple turn off the emotions . I have .
I vote Yes Yes Yes [Me , Myself and I] for more emotions
Your simple yes/no is not a good option . I would have made them smaller if it was my choice .
I feel there is a bright future as a politition or a campaighn manager .
Good luck with your campaign .
You only posted your campaign in ONLY 4 of the 6 forums . Maybe add a Game "How to beat a dead horse with Emotions" to the Game Forum and add s Topic to Tech Section "Why Large Emotions bother the World" .

I thought that doing a simple YES or NO vote in 2 forums (straight and gay) would be the easiest thing in the world. I also thought that giving it a mention and links in 2 other forums would help to make more people aware of it. I am trying so hard.
I think 1st talking to Customer Service would have been a better move
I don't think my one poor little voice would have the slightest impact on Customer Services. 28 people (so far) expressing the same view seems to me like a much better approach.

I like the small emoticons a lot. Presumably if I switch off the large emoticons then I switch these off as well.
I vote Yes Yes Yes [Me , Myself and I] for more emotions
Is this just a YES for more emoticons? Not a vote either way on large emoticons.
I like the idea of more emoticons, as well, including smaller versions of some of the large emoticons. For example, I don't see why the clapping hands can't be a small emoticon, just like the thumbs up.
You say you vote YES for more emoticons, but you have switched the emoticons off. Am I missing something here?
Your simple yes/no is not a good option . I would have made them smaller if it was my choice .
I agree with this, but I thought I would keep it as simple as possible.
Seeing that some of the NO votes are very emphatic and some of the YES votes are borderline, with hindsight it might have been better to have a 5 point scale like: 1. Strongly Agree 2. Agree 3. Don't Know 4. Disagree 5. Strongly Disagree. However, there would have been endless debates about how the results should be added up, and none of you would want that would you...
Most people so far seem happy to just give a YES or NO. It is good to see all the interest in this topic after just 1 week. Quote

Thanks for your comment, Sarasa.
Everyone - do keep voting about the large emoticons (Super Sexy, Lets Tip, Lube, #1, clapping hands etc):
YES = I like the large emoticons and think they should be kept
NO = I do not like the large emoticons and think they should be removed

1 - As mentioned the smileys can be turned off HOWEVER doing this disables both small and large.
Have the 2 sizes on a different tab so we can choose which we want as I personally have no issues with the small ones.
2 - As others have said as a notion - Shrink the large ones down to about twice the size of the small which wouldnt really be as big a problem. See the smileys here in forums for example - the 2 double height ones ( & ) are big enough.
3 - Maybe the site itself should have a consult with us the customers on which smileys we would like to see added to both chat and the forums.
Ones I'd like to see added to chat
Thumb down, Angel, Devil, confused look, shrug, waving

Thanks for your suggestions, Suggs. I have reservations about suggestion 1, but I agree completely with suggestions 2 and 3. I get the feeling that most people do as well.
I think the first step is to persuade VS to remove the large emoticons. All the users who have so far voted have asked for that. It is an easy change for VS to make. They just drop some pics, resize an array, and change the size of the emoticon box.
Your alternative suggestion of splitting the emoticon box into 2 sections or tabs (and getting the system to remember your preferred ON/OFF settings) would involve VS with more programming. This would probably make it a longer term option. If the result was that 99% of users then selected ON for the small emoticons and OFF for the large emoticons then it seems like an inefficient solution to the problem. Also, the space occupied by the permanently OFF section could be better occupied by some more single-height emoticons and the double-height emoticons in your suggestion 2.
If, fingers-crossed, VS make the easy first step then I see the need for someone to start a new thread "New Emoticons" for the consultation process in your suggestion 3. That would probably need to be in 3 forums. I don't know anyone who would be brave enough to do that. Someone who was already very friendly with op.roo would have a head start.
I was in a rebellious mood today, and very close to opening a new thread in the Games forum entitled "Flogging a Dead Horse with Emoticons" as jokily suggested earlier in this thread. On balance I decided not. There was a nice thread in this forum, started by op.roo, suggesting some off-beat ideas for emoticons. I think that would fit well in the Games forum. I won't be surprised if we see a dead horse emoticon emerging before very long Quote
Agree more and half the size they currently are would be great... They do add some fun to the chat when used correctly. Quote

After 10 days the latest result of the vote in both forums is:
YES: 13.5% (5 people voted for the large emoticons to be kept)
NO: 86.5% (32 people voted for the large emoticons to be removed)
If you haven't voted, please do so (YES or NO). It would be good to see more models voting - particularly those who do Party Chat.
It is possible that VS will make changes if they are requested by enough Flirt4Free users and models.
NOTES:
1. The vote is about the large emoticons with their present size.
2. There may be other opportunities to comment on smaller versions of the large emoticons, and increasing the number of small emoticons in chat and in the forums.
