It would have been a different match, if the legal english goal for 2-2 had been approved.
What a terible linesman; the only thing he had to do was to concentrate on the ball and the line.
The whole world and all the people in the stadium have seen the goal, except the ref. and his linesman. The refs in my country are a disaster, but even they would have seen that the ball was behind the line.
And now analysis: Guus Hiddink said that England played with 2 midfielders and Germany with 3.
The Germans forced the english defenders to close the gaps in midfield and that way the english defence was completely open at least 5x in the first half. So it seems that Capello's tactic had failed.
And about Rooney: I dont understand why the english consider him a world-star. He showed nothing at all in this tournament. Ok, he scores goals for Manchester Utd., but even my grandma would score goals, if she was centerforward for Manchester Utd.
Ok once again congratulations Germany and condoleances England.I am looking forward to see the matches in the english premier league next season and it would be great if we get a Holland-Germany final. (we have to face Brasil before though..
Well said. We were lucky to get away with 4-1. Look at Rooney for example, at Man Utd he plays with international players week in week out who make him look better than he is ( although he isn`t rubbish lol ).
Incidentally, I told a taxi driver last week that I thought Holland would win the cup and he didn`t talk to me for the rest of the journey!! Pathetic!!

Finally we have the revenge for the 1966 wembley goal - tho it is not so hard to find out if it was a regular goal or not
Thumbs up for the match - best game the three lions made in south africa ( I'm a lil bit sorry about UK has to take the flight back to london ... but only a lil bit)
The match was what it promised in history - a great fight between to great teams. I hope to see more of matches like this. Loosing in a match like the one we have seen is never a shame. I'm looking forward the next tournament match against the three lions - maybe the 2012 EC final or next worldchampionship final in Brazil Quote

Ohh sarcasm was only about the goal - it was a great game with two great teams. England missed to make more goals (ok one with referee help) - but for me it was best game so far. If Germany would have lost 4:5 I would have loved this game too. Germany had the luck that England opened there defense - and they used the first 2 chances they had in 2nd half for the 4:1 final.
So from me : hat up for England - this team was totally different to the UK team in first round.

Yes Italian coaches are the last you need to improve your football.

can we borrow Mr Cruyff?
Cruyffie is sitting on Mount Juich in Barcelona with a glass of wine in his hands. You can borrow him, not as a coach, but for analysis with Gary Lineker on BBC.

hehehe The FA wouldn`t hire him for the same reason they didn`t hire Clough all those years ago, he knows what he`s doing and would restructure the FA itself. Ah well, it`s only a game

no need for tech in that case ......just a linesman with glasses would do Quote

true, but tech would have alerted the linesman to put his glasses on. Quote

I found this on the net.......
"Biography
Sepp Blatter studied in Sion, Switzerland before he received a degree in business and economics from the University of Lausanne in 1959.
Blatter has a long and varied history including posts such as Head of Public Relations of the Valaisan Tourist Board in his native Switzerland, as well as General Secretary of the Swiss Ice Hockey Federation. He was Director of Sports Timing and Relations of Longines S.A. and was involved in the organization of the 1972 and 1976 Olympic Games. In the early 1970s, Blatter was elected president of the World Society of Friends of Suspenders, an organisation who tried to stop women replacing suspender belts with pantyhose.
Blatter first made his name in the world of football in 1973 as Chairman of the Zurich Brown Shirts. Since 1975 Blatter has been working at FIFA, first as Technical Director 19751981, then General Secretary 19811998 before his election as FIFA President in 1998. He was re-elected as head of FIFA in 2002 and was re-elected unopposed for another four years on 31 May 2007 even though only 66 of 207 FIFA members nominated him. Sepp Blatter sought another term as FIFA president in December 2009 and was duly elected once more."
"The president of world soccer suggested that female players wear more revealing uniforms to bring more attention to their sport.
One English player called the suggestion by FIFA President Sepp Blatter "ridiculous" and "irresponsible."
Blatter said women's soccer needed different sponsors from the men's game and should try to attract fashion and cosmetics companies by featuring "more feminine uniforms."
"Tighter shorts, for example," Blatter told the Swiss newspaper SonntagsBlick. "In volleyball the women also wear other uniforms than the men. Pretty women are playing "
