Hi there... in theese days some models told me that there is someone that use my nick to talk with them and doing like was me...
I don't like this kind of person.. so..
Is there any mode to make pvt our NICK??

with VIP your nickname should be exclusive ..but i have seen many people using names of my VIP friends that i know ..so seems something isnt working here f4f

Sometimes people will use a similar nickname, maybe one more or one less letter or an underscore or period and if the model is not paying attention they think it is someone they know. I have been through this with a few models, someone is using a similar nickname, the difference is that they are not vip and using one less z, but they have tried to pass themselves off as me and I get grief from some of the models, I just remind the model that if they are not vip it is not me as I don't have the option of using grey.

Ive been there myself. I was in a models open room one night when another chatter came in with essentially the same nickname as me--had an underscore in place of the s. Made for some real confusion over who was talking to the model. You gotta figure as many visitors as the ladies get in their rooms, it would be very difficult to keep track of such a small difference in similar nicknames.

This has happened to me on more than one occassion. Some rude assmonkey cloning my name. It's very simple, such as using a capital 'I' instead of a lower case "L".

Just recently I have been asked by al the models I visit on a regular basis if I use the name suggz - and also wormsuggs. Thankfully they know my style of conversation and now know what to look out for

I have also started to use a nikname for the model when i first enter their room so they know its me and not someone using a cloneed version of my name.

It happened to me a while ago under one of my other nicknames. The problem had started before VIP became available and someone was using my nick with my favorite model. Maybe they were jealous of the attention I was getting. The model was always glad to see me :winkwink

Luckily she soon saw through the imposter. He tried it a few times after I had gone VIP, but greys are easy to spot :orglaugh

some VIP did try the same trick using CAPS instead of lower case, but gave up eventually.

Much depends on how well you get to know the models, if they know your style they can often spot imposters.

I solved this problem by creating unique vip screen names for specific models. In this way models always knew it was me logged on

This just goes to show that once there is a form of rapport between a model and a chatter - there are ways that you can always make sure the model knows the Genuine from the clone ))

stewieR uses 1 method - I us e another - im sure that many regulars have their own ways to let a model know they are there.

I have to agree the best defense is for the model to know you well. Also I tend to create special nicknames for my favortie models so they know it's me if I call them 'Foxy' or whatever... Then I can have any name and they know it's me. BTW.... the easiest way for someone to mimic your name is my using a period at the beginning of the name i'ts really hard to see. Like in my case.. I'm wolfy4u the imitation is .wolfy4u In chat that period doesn't show up very well.

Happened once to me.. so I used 10 or 12 of my slots in my username allotment to try to prevent some moron from hijacking my name and rapport I have with several model friends... now I wish I had not used them all up.. I guess I panicked...

Caiaphas, call customer service, it's an 800 number, and the tech might free up your uneeded names. I had the same problem, and simply told him the truth and he did that for me. I de-activated the ones I didn't want and had him eliminate all the de-activated names.

I have been accused right here in this forum of being in a girl's room chatting when I never, never even visited, yet alone chatted. One important other time, I was flying my weekend reserves when a model bitterly accused me both in an e-mail and to other VIP guys that I abused her and was drunk.And... I checked into the room of a friend and SAW not one but 2 different VIP's using a very slight variation of my name. Blew me away.I then put the names they were using and found that neither was registered. I am used to being called SKY by most models, and this girl was saying Sky thinking it was me.Pisses me off that these guys are VIPs screwing me intentially. And NO--- I am not being paranoid. !!!!!

I have been accused right here in this forum os being abusive to a popular model when I never once had been in her room , yet alone chatted with her.On a very important occasion, i was acused of being so abusive to a model (drunk as well) that she e-mailed me and said " Stay out of my room" - she stated that in Caps, BTW. I was far away flying my Reserve committment that entire weekend. And the worst was when I have actually checked into a model's room and saw 2 guys -- both VIPs - using such a close proximity to my name. Could not believe it. The models usually call me Sky and here these 2 models were called these guys Sky, thinking it was me. And NO - I am not being paranoid.I checked their names and neither was registered. And these were VIPS !!!!

This has come up a lot with me. Most funnily when myself and another regular who know each other were in a room with two people shooting the shit whilst having similar names to each other...Well it was funny and we had a laugh about it.

But then again, I have been asked by more then one model about this. It bugs me...but I can't figure a way around it. Other than knowing the model well. If you don't want to know the model well, what do you care if someone else uses your nickname?

its ez you can have as meny usernames as you want just type every name that sound or looks like yours you can think of so they are all tied to your accound and noboady else can use them

If the model knows you well she will spot the imposter very quickly. If not then take her private and show her you are the real person. The imposter will not go private because that will prove he is a fake.
