I do think it's possible to use these creatively, but in general most of the models in my 'circle' don't use them.

When they were first introduced, I suggested that they could be used as a general welcome message, alerting everyone in the room that "X user has entered" (this was when the messages were shown to the entire room, instead of the just the user entering). Obviously, a lot of members would be against that generally because many, many people don't really care for everyone to know that they're in there, but I think it is a more interesting take on just a standard "Hey X, wanna have some fun?"

What do you guys think about a system that would allow models to customize the greeting message to individual, regular members to their room that WOULD be okay with having their presence known? What about a member option to opt-out of seeing these?

More importantly:

Is there any way the automated messages could be used, in their current form, to pique your interest? Or do you see no positive benefits from the tool whatsoever?

As a model that wants to provide an overall positive entertainment experience, I appreciate the development of such a tool, but haven't yet found a way to fit it into what I do. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated by me, and hopefully, other models reading this thread.

I would suggest an absolute NO to automated messages which can even appear when the model isn't there. Members want to interact with the model.

However, to save models having to do a lot of repetitive typing I would be quite happy to see some standard messages which can be used by the model like:

Welcome to my room [member name]
Welcome back [member name]
Good to see you again [member name]
How are you today [member name]

I would also be happy to see some standard messages to replace the unpopular large emoticons which wipe everything off the screen:

Lets Tip Guys
Lets Tip [member name]
Tip Me [member name]
Lets Pledge Guys
Lets Pledge [member name]
Join the Group [member name]
Would you like to join the Group [member name]

Models must get fed up typing some of these all day long, and they are often misspelt :winkwink

I thought all messages on the screen could be seen by everyone. I think that should continue.

...I'm with you, it really doesn't seem like that big a deal to me. Although I do like some of th idea's written here about personalized greetings, I do think those would be quite nice.

It's cheesy. And ultimately fake. So no fire, but perhaps smoke, because "fake" has more sinister cousins, like the deceptive fake (or doctored) pic, and the fraudulent fake cumshot; not to mention the laughable foreign object in the pants.

It's the greeting equivalent of a form letter. I just don't like it, and would rather make the connection on my own, or wait for the model to acknowledge my presence.

I have just sent the following message to a model on my favourites list:

When I visited you tonight to pledge towards your Group Chat I got the message:

"Hi ronnie-uk hello bb welcome in my room kiss hru today"

When I visited you a few minutes later to help with your Party Chat I got the message:

"Hi ronnie-uk hello bb welcome in my room kiss hru today"

The same automatic message!

Don't like these automatic messages at all. Many other members feel the same. They are fake. They spoil your room and spoil the personal experience. Hope you can switch them off.

Sorry that only one other guy pledged for the Group Chat and no-one else tipped at the Party. The automatic messages might not be the reason, but they won't have helped.

It seems to me that more models are now using Auto Greet.

I have now started to ignore any message that appears as soon as I enter a room. Not just the contrived messages (as in my last post) but even the basic "Hi ronnie-uk".

Don't like to appear rude, but don't like to interrupt conversations either. :winkwink

I also find that more models seem to be using this feature now

When auto-greet was first introduced I didn't feel strongly about it one way or the other, but now I just totally ignore any automatically generated greetings the same way as I ignore all bot-generated messages. Auto-greet serves a purpose as far as the model is concerned and that's a good thing

Yes, Jeffie. I agree that if models find Auto Greet useful then it may not be a bad thing.

From the members' side it is not much of a commendation to say: "It is OK if you just ignore it". You, Phil and male4622 have said that you don't mind it. I haven't seen any member who actually likes it.

Too late now, but it would have been nice to see personalised greetings which the model can control (as I suggested earlier) rather than automatic messages which fire off as soon as a member enters a room. :twocents
