there are many different characters on the site, some will almost immediately ask you to go private, some don't talk much, others are chatty.
Me, too, I find it hard to get to know a new performer and had my share of bad first impressions. There is a handful of truly gifted and kind-hearted performers on this site!

Flirt4Free is an international site. There are lots of hot performers here from European countries, Russia, Colombia and elsewhere who have English as a second language.

Some are very fluent (and in other languages too). Their language skills are much better than most members, who only speak one language.

Some have limited knowledge of English, and are learning all the time. It can be frustrating, but I would hesitate to call them "ignorant".

The sexual performance on webcam, which is what most members pay for, is an internationally understood language anyway. A bit like music...

Many learn english here, on sites, like me, and if they dont know, are at the beginning, now if you like one model, you need to try to understand him, is not just about if he talk good english or not, you must to accept he with good english, or without, and why not, teach him:D::D

i have just spent the past hour saying hello to the most ignorant people online....may as well look at free stuff. I realise that people may not speak english but why say they do and take your money? not impressed. But of course who course who cares. Great money making scheme.

I am a performer on this site and have noticed that, as an internationally based company (hence the credit basis that's recognized through various currencies), there are also many customers themselves who are not fluent in English. I am fluent in both English and French, but there are many other languages I do not recognize when they appear on my interface. I agree that I would be hesitant to call them "ignorant" as I still do my very best to appeal to customers who speak a language that I am unable to recognize. Many of us models are doing the very best we can to help you out and fulfill your personal fantasies so please do not take personal offense with their attempts to do so without being as affluent in your native language.

However, if you are looking for someone who can listen and support your needs I would be more than happy to assist.

Jayson Rockwell first awesome to get feedback from a performer on the site.
The simplest way to discover if the performer does not have a good command of English is to check his BIO ....the languages section is where to find the best hint. Members on the site have try to help performers with little understanding of English by trying to translate English to what might be their language.
This has turned into quite an interesting topic.

Sort of in agreement with this topic. When you say Hello to a performer one sort of hopes to get some response within a certain period of time, but alas you end up merely wondering why you are in the room. Most members on Flirt I think are more than willing to help out a performer if they speak very little English, but it does take some effort on the part of the performer.
Not sure if some performers are given any guidance as to the way the site works or not. Think we would all like to see every performer make a go of it.
This might be in part the reason why so many viewers just don't talk. If you don't get a response why say anything.

I speak only one language, English. Having said that, I can't imagine getting upset because performers can't speak English. This is an international site it should be expected. I have had many performers ask for forgiveness because they do not speak English well. I always tell them not to worry because because I certainly can not speak their native language so we get through it and have a great time. English is not the only language in the world and we as Americans and English speaking countries sometimes get too upset when someone can't speak English. Just take it in stride and go the performers are doing the best they can and I like the interaction of trying to understand each other and explaining what certain words mean. Sorry for the long rant, just getting my English on!!!!

I come on the site for conversation, repartee and maybe a bit of role play. They are as much a part of why I'm here as the sexual aspect. I don't blame performers for not being fluent in English, but they can't fill my needs. As a customer I'm disappointed that fewer performers both fit my physical type and speak fluent English. I say Hi, see what the response is and exit or stay. No judgement.

mfrazier57 I get what you just said, but I am sure no member on the site has a problem with a performer letting us know his English is not all that good. Think most would be keen to help him out with it, and in general appreciate the fact that the performer at least acknowledge that member being in the room.
We all enjoy the wide range of performers on the site. Some perhaps more than others. It is not a case of being upset that the performer can't speak English, but rather that the viewer feels totally ignored.
There have always been performers on the site who could speak next to none English, but they had some sort of translation program running where they would pick up what was said. Now I think this is no longer the case.

Years ago there was a model on this site who, when he started in 2004, knew only 2 words of English - "hi" and "private". He persevered and, with a lot of help from members, his vocabulary expanded and he gradually became more fluent in English. He lasted more than 3 years on the site

Sometimes models have problem even if they are speaking on English. For example: I'm speaking English, but members in many cases sitting here with sound off. It's born next problem - you need use keyboard in show and this making show worse. Impossible be good to all but in most cases customers just not answering what they want.

P.S. please use earphones or not placing your microphones near to loudspeakers when you doing C2C - echo not so good :winkwink
