Profile pictures seem to be an important part of the advertising for a model on the site - what do you think makes a good picture?

I think that the important qualities of a good profile picture should be that (1) it represents the model accurately (in other words, it isn't 5 years old) and (2) it is interesting and makes you want to click on it. To me, a lot of models seem to have very similar profile pictures - and so few pictures stand out when I look at the front page of the site.

In my opinion, some of the better pictures are the ones with a single bright colour background - that seems to stand out to me. At the moment, Terry_Y has a good example of this (http://www.flirt4free.com/models/bios/terry_y/about.php).

I guess that most performers try to use a picture that shows them in a really attractive pose. I think that while lots of profiles pictures are good when you really look at them, most of them don't stand out on the site page . I really like a picture that Brendon_X used to use - http://www.flirt4free.com/photos/guys/1204631.php - it is a great photo of him and the coloring and background mean that it also stands out as a great photo on the crowded front page.

A different approach is an old picture that Freem used to use, which was just showed bright green underpants - it really stood out on the crowded front page of the site and was incredibly easy to see. He doesn't use that now but you can still see it on his profile page - http://www.flirt4free.com/models/bios/freem/about.php.

What do performers think? And what do other members think? It would be interesting if others could post examples of photos that really attract them .

Hey there RyanVV you have posed a very interesting topic.
I am sure many members have seen profile picture that has made them enter a chat room only to be a bit shocked at what they find. Pictures need to be as current as possible.
One thing that one notices in the number of profile pictures which tend to reveal a lot of skin right down to the cheeky displays. While this can work up some fantasies in viewers minds I sort of think they are a bit on the much side because once in the room you see a far different vision if you know what I mean.
The profile picture should be seen as a TEASE just to get the viewer in the room and nothing else. I must admit there are actually a fairly large number of quality pictures on the site where models have taken that extra step to make the visit to the chat room a very enjoyable experience.
Will be great to see what others have to say on this topic and thanks for bringing it up. :thumbsup

The photo should actually be of the model. In the past the same photo has been used by multiple models...it can only be one of 'em.

There are often 150 or more guys on-line at the same time. I think that the main profile pic, and the position on the Live Chat page, are hugely important.

I agree with you that a good profile pic should be accurate, interesting, clear and stand out from the others. I also like profile pics which are sexy and emphasise the performers' best features.

Terry Y, who you mentioned, has a beautiful face. The main profile pic that he has been using up to the last few days simply showed his face against a single colour background. Perfect

I loved Freem's green undies profile pic which you mentioned. It was unique, distinctive ... and sexy. He has great legs and thighs. Coincidentally, he is using a new profile pic today which shows his legs nicely.

I tend to get particularly drawn to profile pics where the performer shows off his legs:

Lots of guys have great bodies, but often the profile pic will just show the headless body. There may be mixed views about this. If the performer has a cute face as well then you can get a very nice profile pic:

woho...great gossoip,i tought the adminstrator have to view and re-view the photo before its aprovved,didn`t knew models can do such tricks.

My feeling is that a model's profile pic should be a clear vision of how the model advertises themself. For example, if you are the "boy next door", look like it in your pic. We don't see the boy next door practically nude. One evening I was on and the entire first page was shirtless muscle guys but for one. I just zoomed in on that one because he fit the "boy next door type" which I love. He had recently changed his pic to wearing a shirt, and clearly showing his face. I immediately clicked on him and he was the only model that I have ever joined his fan club.

Profile pics (bio pics) are hugely important to the success or failure of performers on this site. Most members see 100 to 150 profile pics, and make a quick decision on which performer to visit.

I have suggested to several performers that they change their profile pics. Just one example:

Two years ago I visited a performer who said things had been very quiet. It wasn't worthwhile launching a group chat because no-one was visiting his room.

I suggested that he change his profile pic, which he did. A week later, when I hadn't been able to visit him online, I thought I would give him some support by paying for one of his VODs. I couldn't do it because I got the message: "This performer is currently in the top 3% .... ". I am pleased to say he is still here, and doing well.

I'm sorry that RyanVV seems to have forgotten about his topic...! I always think it is nice to get a response from the OP. I hoped he might have added further examples of good profile pics (which would encourage others).

It may be that there is a problem doing links to particular profile pics, as these keep changing. The large pics, which are also in the Photo Archive, are rather more permanent. That is partly why I launched this separate topic:

The best picture is the most current one that looks just
like you do when I visit your room.. :thumbsup

Of course you can pick the one that you find more attractive
but it must be accurate and showing your best features... :winkwink

Photos from 2 or 3 years ago when you were buffed and shredded are
not a good thing if you gained 20 kilos in the past year... :winkwink

Also any changes in your bio are always welcome... :angel

A real ACTUAL PICTURE...forget the air brushed
ones taken by a professional photografer air brushed and photo shopped.. :evil

That is NOT who and what you are and it is a
HUGE LET DOWN when a visiting member clicks on a buffed
cleaned shaved,tattoo free, tanned or shredded picture and he/she finds a flabby,chubby,bearded,out of shape 4 years older guy..

...That is another reason why members don't answer to models
and stay quiet without saying hello or hi.. :evil

Be honest and realistic,just a photo taken with your
mobile phone is better than one taken by a master photographer
showing someone you are NOT!!! :guitar

I have a number of favourites saved. They were chosen for a reason, and are a very diverse group. The one constant is that the profile pic is up-to-date, and looks like the guy! :thumbsup

A profile pic that is a good representation of what the member will see in the room, will always get my attention.

Profile pics should also reflect changes. If a performer has gained/lost weight, then update the pic. If the performer has grown their hair out/gotten it cut way short, then update the pic. If the performer has grown/cut off a beard/mustache/goatee, then update the pic. And if the performer has a bunch of new tats, then update the profile! :bulb

I'm not for or against any of those, just wanna see current pics. It ain't rocket science -- if a guy wants to market himself to customers, we need to see the latest and greatest model. Who would want to buy a 2016 model car if the picture was of a 2009 model car? :winkwink
