If it's not illegal activity, it should be fine if they have a cigerette, it's not like any of you will suffer from second hand smoke.

I'm not sure about the rules now but at one time performers could not smoke in open chat. Along with that they couldn't be seen eating and drinking, no pets should be visible, if in a solo performer account no other person could be seen. They weren't allowed to play any music other than the site's pre-selected background music. (it was pretty bad) There were other rules too. I didn't agree with all of them but it's a job and if management has rules and you aren't management you follow the rules. Some rules are to protect the performers or the members or the site.

In theory yes, performers choose to work here, make their own hours (unless on a studio's schedule), wear what they choose or not wear and work from wherever they want, whether it be on the bed, in the shower, the kitchen, by the pool (those were fun pvts)...However, they don't draw their own check, they can be let go from the site for underperforming and for violating rules the site continues to enforce. I know some performers released for the former and at least one for the latter. If self employed some of those would not be an issue.
Then there are performers who have contracts with a manager type person who take a sizeable percentage of their income from the site. Not sure how much that still occurs but 4-5 years ago it happened. Quote

I find it interesting, and somewhat ironic, that male models/performers who, blessed with outstanding genes and well developed physiques, would corrupt their bodies with cigarette smoke. The health hazards of smoking are well documented. The irony here is that they work long and hard to get their bodies to near perfection physically, and then age their bodies through smoking. These young guys, mostly in their 20s and 30s, will look substantially older when they reach their 40s and 50s...they will LOOK 60s or 70s. Now, there's nothing wrong with being 60 or 70, as long as you get there naturally. But to BE 45 and LOOK 60...that's just sad.

Midnight I totally agree with you there, but there is one thing that you have to keep in mind and that is that many performers on the site come from a different culture. For them smoking might be more of an image situation. Best not to pass judgement but rather offer them encouragement to kick the habit

It took Mother Nature over 200 million years to make us evolveinto what we are today and filtering smoke is NOT one of Natures intent...
It is not a matter of a culture but pure ignorance. and I'm glad I won't have to bury your ass and cry over it... Remember your last puff when the doctor tells you "OOhhh,I'mso sorry but your X rays show there is a large shadow in your lungs and it seems to be
stage 4 cancer...
