Male Performer Chat: Reviews
PhilUSA must be the king of reviewers. Usually, when I go to post a nice review, Phil has beat me to it. However, I don't think the reviews are useful because almost every non-5 star review never gets posted, and nearly every model has 5 stars, and those that don't have at least 4, unless they are new and have no stars.
Phil, step back just a moment. Read what he said. Reg is saying you are the king of good reviews and often when he wants to post a nice one you have beaten him to it. (Not sure why that stops him but oh well.) He has just complimented you. It makes no sense that he is attacking your reviews alone in his third sentence. If he was then why would he want to post a nice one like he said. I think he is refering, in general, to reviews not being useful. Which begs the question, why does he want to post a good one? He is saying published reviews are slanted and the site doesn't allow bad reviews through. That said the site does let some negative through because I have seen some.
Reviews are subjective. The opinion of the writer. I often don't read model reviews because I decide on my own if I like a model. That doesn't mean I think they shouldn't be allowed.
As for his venom comment I think that was a bit strong. He probably sees you as part of the "pack" and lashed out but that is between you and him. good luck. Quote

You are a gentleman and I respect your comments. I didn't think he was refering to my reviews alone.
I was simply trying to state that this was a nice thread where people were talking about reviews and that I didn't think it was necessary to muck it up with an argument that he has used in other threads.
There are plenty of bad reviews that are in models bio's, I know because I read a lot of bio's and have seen many bad reviews.
Reviews are subjective, I have stated that exact thing in another thread. Reviews are merely the opinion of the experience that the reviewer had and not everyone will share that opinion.

I have left negative reviews before, and they did not get posted. I'm not trying to turn the thread negative, but it was something I thought of reading through this thread. I don't think everything gets posted.
Things I look for in a review aren't so much the physical attributes and aspects. After all, there are a lot of cute guys at this site with amazing bodies. I'm looking for customer service things. How does a model treat his customers? Does he chat with them and respect them both inside and outside of private chat. I try to put these things into my reviews because I think it's important to mention.
One final thing, I wish that VS would default the star rating to five stars. A handful of times, I've left a spotless review that got three stars because I forgot to change it to five. Sadly, that's hurt a couple of models that I love. Quote

Just spotted something which amused me.
I was looking at Domenic Prize's reviews and saw this one:

It seems appropriate to mention in this topic that VS are currently trying to fix the current problem where members add reviews to VODs and the VOD shows "0 comments". Brad at VS has posted recently in the following topic:

There is a new point which I also wanted to raise: members giving reviews to VODs which are wrong and are damaging to the performer. I have spotted this twice with VODs by the same performer (Yeray).
In the first case, Yeray titled the VOD "Big Load Cum Creamy". A review was added by Romanov which included the words "No wonder he did not cum". I was puzzled, because I have always found Yeray to be a helpful, friendly performer. Yeray was quite right and Romanov was quite wrong. I added my own review to help to put things right. In the second case, a review was added by musclewatch to say that the cum shot was faked. I watched the cum shot several times and am convinced it was genuine. Again, I added my own review to help to put things right. The VOD is at:

This raises concerns about other reviews like this, particularly by these 2 members.
I have sent a message to Yeray so that he is aware of the issue. It is open to him to contact the members direct, but I hope he will take advice from his studio on what can be done for the best.

I'm newer here so I don't have too many reviews yet. Although the ones I do get I really appreciate. I like it not only for myself but for the people in my room as well. I like to know that they are having a good time, and i especially like to know the things that I am doing that they are liking. I also take the time to read the reviews when I visit a models page, It gives a little more insight that the bio doesn't really give. You don't know yourself how you come off to other people. On the other hand while I would dislike a negative review, if it was constructive and not so much just bashing it would be another good tool for me to know how to improve my performances or interactions, if the review thought there was a weakness i could improve on. Luckily I haven't yet had a bad or negative review so I can't comment how I feel about negative reviews,but I think a solid review talking about what's beyond the pretty face surface can be really helpful.

In the parallel topic (Archives Disappointing) someone complained about popular VODs which didn't have good cum shots. It was pointed out that there was a Best VOD Cum Shots topic, and also that many of the best shows had great reviews. However, there were many shows which had reviews but wrongly showed "0 comments". This problem has now been fixed.
Phil-USA has just commented in that topic:
