I don't blame them for increasing the rates if that is more profitable for them. I used to sell tangible products that required additional costs for each sale. If my sales were dropping off, I would lower my prices, but if my sales were rising.. I would raise my prices. In the case of this site, the costs are pretty much the same whether 10 people subscribed to the site or 10 million people subscribed to the site since no tangible product is involved.
Whatever balance of NUMBER OF MEMBERSHIPS multiplied by the COST OF MEMBERSHIP results in the biggest number should determine the cost of the membership. The same goes for the cost of private shows. Whatever balance of AMOUNT OF PRIVATE TIME multiplied by COST OF PRIVATE time results in the most money.. is how the cost of privates should be set.
Obviously, if they lowered the cost of a membership to $1 a month and the cost of a private to a penny per minute, the number of memberships and private time would skyrocket. However, if the cost of a membership increased to $1000 per month and the cost of a private to $50 per minute, the number of memberships and private time would nose dive.
They should, and have every reason to set the prices as high as generates the most revenue. In the business model of an intangible product, the revenue and the profits are relatively equal. With tangible products such as shoes, clothing, appliances, the SHIPPING costs frequently are more important than the price of the product! For example, I once bought mp3 players on an auction site. They cost $60 plus $15 shipping (even though they came with just a 60 cent stamp on them). A year later, the auction store pulled a trick and was selling them for just $1 instead of $60... but the shipping costs were raised to $100. : ) So essentially, their product went from $75 to $101 although their price went from $60 to $1.
Some people would argue that computer hardware has dropped in price by a factor of 1000 times or more in recent history. Just consider the price of memory! I can remember when memory cost $2.50 per kilobyte. That would be $2.5 million for a gigabyte! However we all know that a gigabyte of memory now sells for about $50. HOWEVER, computers used to operate with just 16k of memory.. now they typically require 512 megs for XP and at least 1 gig for Windows 7.
Another thing to consider is the price of adult entertainment. I can remember cheesy 30 page porn magazines that cost $20. Now, a person can find much higher quality porn on the internet much cheaper.
The bottom line is.. to stay in business, a company must find the proper cost to maximize revenues.

VS Media could learn a lot from PiersMorgan aka TOMCRUISE aka aka aka ...
Thanks OurJeffie! Compliments are so rare in these forums! I like most of your posts also.
I would like to add two things that I observed just today.
1. One model had a room filled with dozens of people and was to have a show for 20 credits per minute. He mistakenly hit the wrong setting and put the cost at 60 credits per minute. Once he did that, the room emptied out rapidly. I felt so bad for him. By the time he realized the mistake, the room was so empty that his special show was ruined for lack of voyeurs.
2. In another room, a model was in multi mode doing a show for just 20 credits per minute. I was thinking "this is awful! that is too cheap!" HOWEVER, I then realized that his show lasted for about an HOUR and was primarily just chatting. Someone should keep track of how long the average 60 credit per minute show lasts versus how long the average 20 credit per minute show lasts. I don't really know! But whatever rate produces the most revenue is the rate that should be used. Neither the site nor the model makes a penny when not in a show. ALSO, VODS are made from shows.. so if there are few shows of a significant duration, then there are few VODS being produced.

The constant stream of a few people crapping on the posts of other people makes the forums pretty useless.
I think the problem would be solved if there were a requirement to have an IQ of 80 or higher to post in the forums. That would eliminate several of the haters, who merely attack other posts rather than provide any useful thought on their own. Quote

- Standard Membership ($39.95 monthly)
- Combo Membership ($49.95 monthly). The combo includes 300 credits (a $30 value) that will be added to your account each time the membership fee is charged.
For those of you who are already members at the old price point, you do not need to change anything. We will continue to honor the old price for as long as you remain an active member.
If you are an existing member at the old price and wish to switch to the combo product to save money each month you will need to cancel your current membership and then purchase the new combo product from the join page.
Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

Hi Brad,
has the "- Combo Membership ($49.95 monthly). The combo includes 300 credits (a $30 value) that will be added to your account each time the membership fee is charged." been removed ? Some customers are asking for it and it does not seem to show up anymore on the vip purchase area.

I have updated the package and it is now available again
Hi VS_Guy,
It still does not show it here when you click become a vip green box. It only shows the standard VIP and not the one with 300 credits.

Just a heads up.
