I'd like to add one more reason to keep the whisper, because the situation just came up in a new Russian male model's room.
His English is not the best. Whenever that happens, I usually whisper something to clarify a statement in English for him. Also, even if it's a new native English speaker, sometimes they don't understand the Flirt system very well. I can't tell you how many times I had to talk models through the Group Chat procedure when it was first introduced.
This is how members make friends here. They appreciate our help because your monitors and studio chiefs sure as hell aren't helping them.
Please keep the whisper.

I have always found VS willing to listen to reasonable arguments. In my previous post (#115) I suggested that the main reasons for whispering to models appeared to be:
- giving confidential advice or warnings to newer models (eg best to wait for tip before showing)
- making confidential suggestions (eg if you do group chat now for 500, I will go up to 250)
- avoiding embarassment in asking about particular fetishes or unusual requests
- avoiding intimidation by badly behaved members who ridicule, criticise or belittle
- making the relationship with the model feel more personal and intimate
I think this might be a sufficiently strong case for keeping whispers

I personally think that whispering should be allowed - not everybody abuses it - but do agree that maybe it should be limited to a certain amoutn per day and room

Site email can be slow or overlooked and I've heard a model say, "go read my email and then whisper your response here." I think models know it is a beneficial tool especially as ken described. There are models learning english or they simply don't know all the double meanings that words in the english language can hold. I gotta go back to duration of punative measure:
Stripping the whisper feature = less fun for every whisperer for all time, punishment for all time
Banning a trouble maker = punishment for hours or days. possibility to learn.
Stripping the feature is the way of the fanatic.

lol I should probably not make this point but it so reminds me of why many object to some religions.
Hell is considered comically excessive and irrational.
The fact that many still are just fine with the idea of Hell is probably a bad sign for the future of whisper. lol.

It is a rational and noble thing to try to create a list of reasons to keep the whisper feature
on its merits. But imagine if we were instead now dealing with the "lurking issue". What
positive points would you be able to make about, not a feature, but a class of people using
the site. This very subject came up in a thread. Maybe more. There was an effort made to
get lurkers to stop being lurkers or go or at least feel bad about their horrible crime of
lurking.
The attitude of this bigoted driving class of users has to change if you want peace. They have
to stop throwing their weight around like that and trying to change the people using the site.
But hey that's just me. I hate exclusive clubs with screening at the door for similar reasons.
I see you pretending this is a rational, business decision that can be influenced by logic only
and frankly it is not true.

Please give us back the whispers, and if some people are so bothered about disjointed conversations in rooms, lets allow the models to whisper back. I would like to add, lets give the choice to the models, if they choose to not allow whisperers, I certainly wont hold it against her and would continue to visit her if she allows. Lets not fall into the trap that those who whispers spend no money on this site, infact it wouldnt surprise me if whisperers spend more than those who sits in a models room and decides they are the policeman there for the entire time the model is online. Fact is, why a girl would even bother to answers my whispers? its not because she thinks Im smart or funny, its because she knows I will spend my money on her. Often I find when I stop going pvt with a girl, the responses are slower, again not unexpected. Thats when I know its time to move on.
Many times in the past I have express my support for the whisper when many a member comes on here and states how terrible for them when they get ignored and how they cant understand or follow the conversation. I always thought I was in the minority, well finally more people are speaking up, I always knew that surely its not only me who got drawn to this site because of this feature, its certainly not the prices here.

I used whisper because at times I really didn't want the whole chat room or world to know what I was stating to the model. I mostly joke around with them in a kind and funny way and don't think it should be out there in open chat.....get it whispering! If you joke around in open chat with the model it causes others to be hateful and mean to you in response because they don't know your joking around with the model; however, the model knows you and knows that you are joking around!
I have been a member for some years now and I feel that this is diffidently just a way to have more privates (Money Generated)! I thank it should be restored to VIP members especially and F4F should not be so (what appears to me) GREEDY! Money isn't everything to everyone and the economy doesn't help with members having as many privates; I know it has hurt and stopped me from having as many privates and to stop whispering just to think it will generate more income is in my book greedy! Sorry, for my honest stance with this matter and for even mentioning greed! I pay extra to be a VIP member and I think I should still have a choice to whisper with my membership fee!

I pay extra to be a VIP member and I think I should still have a choice to whisper with my membership fee!
The whispering function has never been quoted as one of the benefits to the VIP membership , so you really can't argue that since you are paying for VIP you should be allowed to whisper.

Agreed. The whisper feature needs fine tuning. I think I'll be better prepared after the 2 week experiment to make suggestions and/or express my thoughts, so I'll wait. At this point a bit premature, and we're starting to spin our wheels in this thread. Quote

It is so gratifying to see whispering getting a huge debate.

Disabling whispering is a big mistake. There have been many times that I use the function to get information to models about the experience in their room. For example, I might whisper that the lights are a little low or something it technically wrong. If I were to put that in open chat, it could cause problems.
I also like to just whisper a kiss or a smile to a model to let them know I'm there and that I care.
Would hate to see the whisper function go by the way. Could it be up to the models as to whether or not they wish to disable the function? After all, they are ultimately in charge of their own rooms and the way they are run. Quote

A Model is not going to tell you that Whispering to them is annoying, because then they would lose a potential Tipper, Pledge, Private. They will say Thank you so much, your so sweet. The just Ban the Annoying Customer isn't going to work unless they make it so it doesn't affect a Models Power Score. That's why when you go into a room some Models ask for Power Boosts. Power Boost help them with their Ranking on Flirt, and if a Model wants to keep People from viewing their VODS they need a certain percentage to do that. If it's your VOD you will still be able to view them even if a Model turns VOD purchases off. I see a lot of ME! ME! in this thread, and not very many I wonder what the Models want. Someone going into a Models room asking, do you like it when I whisper to you for 2hrs straight aren't going to get the truth. They aren't going to say I hate it when YOU whisper to me. If trying to give a Model Advice, or explain something you don't need to Whisper it. Matter of fact someone else might add to what your telling them. If your favorite Model really wanted your whispers, they would have already had a way off Flirt to do that with you by now. I do with my Favorite Model. 
Survey the Models on if having Whispers are better for them, or if they want them back. Joe Perv going into a room asking a Model isn't going to get an Honest Answer.

I Don't see any reason why a member could not tell a model in open chat that they think there may be a technical problem, I'm sure if you whispered it the model would end up asking the rest of the room for verification anyway !!!

Could you not achieve the same thing with a 5 or 10 credits tip in open , or simply making a nice comment in open ?

A refreshing break for those stuck in less enlightened societies for the bulk of their existences.
