What about a new game? :party

Given a thing, a person, a place, a book, a film or WHATEVER the player has to give three (hopefully) interesting or curious facts about that thing. Similar to the Numbers game (not excluding numbers here), but with three facts. Why? Because it's nice to learn something :).
An example? At once!

Danes:
> Are the Happiest People in the World according to the UN.
> Are called the Californians of Scandinavia, because life is in a rush here, well compared to the even sleepier north.
> Speak the language with the most (indistinguishable) vowls in the world. :bulb

Movies :

1 - The Melbourne Athenaeum started to screen movies in 1896.

2 - The human eye needs a minimum of 12fps (frames per second) to perceive continuous motion. Early silent films were 16-24fps. The Hobbit was the first movie at 48fps. Game industry uses 90fps for virtual reality. Sport broadcasters are testing 300fps at the moment.

3 - "A Boy and his Atom" is a 2012 animated short released by IBM Research. 65 carbon monoxide molecules were displaced with a scanning tunneling microscope. It is noted in the Guinness World Records as The World's Smallest Stop-Motion Film. Each frame measures 45 by 25 nanometers.

Surfing :

1 - Surfing has been around for centuries . Probably first obsered by Europeans at Tahiti in 1767 by Samuel Wallis and the crew members of the Dolphin who were the first Europeans to visit the island in June of that year.

2 - Midsize boards, often called funboards, provide more maneuverability than a longboard, with more flotation than a shortboard . Nice to "Hang 10" on midsize boards .

3 - Margaret River Yallingup and Prevelly Park, WA (Western Australia)
260 km south of Perth, the tiny resort village of Yallingup marks the beginning of the famed Margaret River winery region, where wine enthusiasts and waxheads (board-riders) have long converged in equal numbers. With several breaks that range from mild to monstrous depending on the swell, Yallingup is considered the best all-round surfing destination on Australias west coast.

Easter :

1 - Easter is a festival and holiday celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead as described in the New Testament. It is the culmination of the Passion of Christ, preceded by a forty-day period of fasting, prayer, and penance. The custom of the Easter egg originated from staining eggs red in memory of the bl00d Christ shed at his crucifixion; the Easter egg a symbol of the empty tomb.

2 - "Easter, 1916" is a poem by W. B. Yeats describing about the events of the Easter Rising in Ireland against British rule on Easter Monday in 1916. The uprising was unsuccessful, and most of the Irish republican leaders involved were executed for treason. This event is usually commemorated on Easter Monday in Ireland.

3 - Easter celebrations differ a lot across the world. From Easter parades, Easter egg roll at the White House and egg tapping (USA), to Easter fires, Walpurgis Night (Central and Northern Europe), the Easter Bilby bringing Easter eggs instead of a bunny (Australia), to spanking women in order to keep their health, beauty and fertility (Slavic countries), sweet Easter bread (Southern Europe), to the flying of Bermuda kites, to just a lot of chocolate :).

H. C. Andersen :

1 - Odense, Andersen's birthplace, celebrates this famous Danish writer in numerous ways. The HCA Literature Award was established in 2010 and given to Haruki Murakami in 2016. An annual marathon is held. Five airlines operate regularly at the HCA airport. The year 2005 was designated "Andersen Year" in Denmark, the bicentenary of Andersen's birth. His birthday, 2nd April, is celebrated as International Chjldren's Book Day.

2 - "Hans Christian Andersen" (1952) is an American musical film starring Danny Kaye that, though inspired by his life and literary legacy, was not meant to be accurate; it begins by saying, "This is not the story of his life, but a fairy tale about this great spinner of fairy tales".

3 - In 2012 a so far unknown fairy tale was discovered in the national Danish archives and deemed his earliest work.

F4F's first boy band :

1 - Lots of performers add to sexiness with their musical talent, singing, dancing (not just the occasional strip) and even playing instruments. Tipping for a great song or dance is good fun and getting to know each other via the music we like offers a lot of conversational topics.

2 - In September 2015, upon meeting the young Russian Mylo Moon - who played guitar left-handed, knew many songs, could sing very well, improvised and could play in any key - discussions about an actual concert in a multi-user show with him went so crazy, that we invented songs, band names etc. in his room.
This was so much fun, that I had to ask around for more performers with such talents. He lasted on Flirt for 10 days.

Chocolate :

1 - Aztec culture tells this story: There once was a king who set out for a war. His kingdom was ambushed and his queen tortured, but she stayed truthful and died without revealing the treasury. The Aztec god Quetzalcoatl, impressed by her courage and saddened by her death, let a plant grow from her body, with fruit so dark to remind of her bl00d spilled and a bitter taste, but infused with her bravery and power.

2 - While xocolatl was served as a cold, unsweetened and spicy empowering drink to the upper class of the Aztec society already some 4000 years ago, hot, sweet chocolate was first created by Spanish Dominican monks to convert chocolate from food to drink in order for it to be allowed to be consumed during times of fasting.

3 - Weighing the old indigenous myths against modern clinical science, the cacao alkaloid C_7H_8N_4O_2 has several tested physiological effects, which are bl00d vessel widener, myocardial heart stimulant ("aphrodisiac"), reducing bl00d pressure, aiding urjnation, a treatment for asthma and coughing and arteriosclerosis ...

Porcelain :

1 - Porcelain derives its present name from the old Italian porcellana (cowrie shell) because of its resemblance to the translucent surface of the shell

2 - China was the birthplace of porcelain making, dating from the Shang Dynasty (16001046 BC),

3 - William Cookworthy discovered deposits of kaolin in Cornwall, making a considerable contribution to the development of porcelain and other whiteware ceramics in the United Kingdom. Cookworthy's factory at Plymouth, established in 1768, used kaolin and china stone to make porcelain with a body composition similar to that of the Chinese porcelains of the early 18th century.

Italy :

1 - Italy is home to Europe's only three active vulcanoes: Etna, Stromboli and Vesuvius with eruptions within the past 100 years.

2 - There are two independent states within Italy: the Republic of San Marino and the Vatican City. San Marino is the worlds oldest republic and holds the worlds oldest continuous constitution. Vatican City is the smallest country in the world and the only nation that can lock its own gates at night. Italy itself is about the size of Arizona.

3 - The use of pasta in Italy can be traced back as far as the 4th century B.C. Pizza was invented in Naples in 1860. "Pizza Margherita", in honor of Queen Margherita of Savoy, is meant to represent the national colours of the Italian flag was created in 1889.

The Wild West :

1 - The Wild West was not 1 area . The US grew from East to West . Wild West was territory not settled . Areas of Midwest now like Indiana , Ohio , Kentucky , etc were Wild West in 1700s .

2 - The American frontier comprises the geography, history, folklore, and cultural expression of life in the forward wave of American westward expansion that began with English colonial settlements in the early 17th century and ended with the admission of the last mainland territories as states in 1912 .

3 - As the American frontier passed into history, the myths of the West in fiction and film took firm hold in the imagination of Americans and foreigners alike. America is exceptional in choosing its iconic self-image.

Italian food :

1 - Tomatos, Basil and Mozzarella are the three ingredients you will find in almost all Italian dishes, in particular on pizza and in pasta, because they represent the national colors of the Italian flag. For the Eurovision song contest in 2014, the Italian contestants presented their "postcard" (short introduction video before their act) forming their flag with them.

2 - Gelato: Some say Italian ice cream dates back to frozen desserts in Sicily, ancient Rome and Egypt made from snow and ice brought down from mountaintops and preserved below ground. Later, in 1686 a Sicilian fisherman created the first ice cream machine. Its popularity only increased in the 1920s1930s in northern Italy, where the first gelato cart was developed.

3 - My favorite Italian dish is the Zucchini Zuppe - a soup made of mashed Zucchini with Parmesan cheese and served with a light bread, e.g. Ciabatta.

Best of ... Genova in ... Italy !:

1 - Genova is a city molded by its history as an important trade port. In the old harbour area, Europe's second largest aquarium can be found, ships and lighthouses be visited. It has indeed no beach, but the Bocadasse district is nonetheless a lively area with many boats, restaurants and people enjoying the sun on its shore. It is a university town with only few international tourists who most likely travel through it on their way to Milano to the north, the picturesque town of Portofino to the south-east or France to the west.

2 - The "XX Settembre" street connects the ancient city center from Piazza de Ferrari and the palace of the Doge (an exhibition area currently showing impressionists) with more modern parts and is a shopping area leading the stream of visitors under colonnades. Side streets offer a number of cafés to relax. The "Giotto" restaurant on the 2nd floor of the Bristol Palace Hotel "offers an elegant and refined atmosphere" in an intimate room with few tables. They serve next to typical Genovese pesto (made from basil) prawns with chocolates and orange sauce :).

3 - The "Strada Nuova" consists of three old palaces turned into museums that tell the story of Genova from Roman times - with an impressive numismatic collection, coins from all the mediterranean ports - to recent times. Many paintings exhibited are from local artists and give a very personal view on its people and life in different centuries. The Museum of Natural History has a significant collection of spiders that is still a world reference for arachnologists. The Italian town of Taranto gave tarantulas its name, though the first one named thus is not today classified in this family.

Greece :

1 - Greece has one of the longest histories of any country, and is considered the cradle of Western civilization: the birthplace of democracy, Western philosophy, the Olympic Games, Western literature, historiography, political science, major scientific and mathematical principles, and Western drama.
Alexander the Great conquered much of the ancient world, spreading Greek culture and science from the eastern Mediterranean to the Indus River (Pakistans/India).

3 - Greeks are mostly Christian, but ancient Greek mythology exerts still today a great fascination which is reflected in arts, literature, music and film. It is full of comedy and tragedy of gods acting very humanly indeed.

2 - Greek philosophers had a great impact on our society, still noticeable today: Cicero and Senaca were a great statesmen. Mathematics is based on the works by Euclid, Pythagoras and Thales. Hippocrates is considered the father of medicine, defining it as a profession. Diogenes was a cynic who elevated critisism to an art and life-style. While Plato had an abstract view on the world, his students - Aristotle and Sokrates - are mostly known for their scientific/pragmatic ("empirical") philosophy, introducing method, but also ethics into science.
Demokritos* introduced the idea of atoms as building blocks of the different elements.
