[ Chris, you probably know that paw, poor, pore and pour are homophones - words which sound the same but are spelled differently and have different meanings. I suspect you don't have many homophones in the Danish language ] Quote

most people would say all Danish words sound alike, lol, a lot of it is mumbling and swallowing g's and d's into silence. I've read somewhere that even for Danish ch1ldren it takes longer to understand and speak their mother tongue ... To me, poor and pour sound alike, but the others not. Ecuador and pore, okay, raw and paw, okay... but with each other ?!?!.

[ Chris : I will accept 'equator', but at least in Australia 'equator' is pronounced (or mispronounced) more like 'equater', to rhyme with 'later' ]

[ I think that players who speak English as a 2nd or 3rd language should have 2 misses . I like participation continued even if they are "out" . Near rhyme to me . Australian pronouncing is different than some US words . I say PLAY ON !!! ] Quote

[ I agree, and you'll note that I accepted 'equator' even though it doesn't really rhyme. I think for Americans as well as Australians it rhymes with 'later' ]
