The LST 325 short for landing ship, tank is one of the ships that helped win World War II is and is docked in Pittsburgh and will be open for tours this week on the North Shore.
LST 325 is the last remaining operational LST in its World War II-era configuration.
LSTs were used in World War II, Korea and Vietnam and the LST 325 that's visiting participated in the D-Day invasion of Omaha Beach. Quote
