Technical Support: "Flicker" before a private/multi-user show starts
Lately I've noticed an odd "flicker" when someone takes a performer into private or multi-user chat. The video feed blacks out, then returns, and about a second later, the curtains appear and the show begins.
This has happened in several rooms I have been in, but while some members have witnessed the same thing, others have not noticed any interruptions in their video feeds prior to the shows beginning. Someone suggested a server issue, but is it possible there might be another cause?

As of Saturday, 9/13, it had still been happening. However, I was not in the rooms much on Sunday during the contest, so I do not know if it is still happening. If I see it happen again, I will be sure to let you know.

Yes it's still happening today also. I have been noticing it for awhile I thought was just something new. The other one is there is like a flicker during party chats also the video will cut and come back.

For all of you who have been experiencing flicker within video, I spent the last few days testing and putting out updates to fix a number of video issues. The one I released today should fix most, if not all of the remaining flicker problems in open.
This includes fixing the double video flicker upon room load, the video flicker when a group show starts as well as any video flickers while a group show is in process. I also found and fixed a bug where models switching from restricted room types like semi-private to standard video room types weren't always getting video to appear. This is also being handled correctly now.
The updates I made a couple days ago effectively fixed the common video flicker in party chats and multi-user rooms.
It also fixes some bugs that I found within group show handling as well, so group shows will now be more stable.
Please clear your cookies the next time you get a chance so that you are getting the latest version. Quote
