I'm curious to why we pay for vip and then have to go searching for promos? Not only is that kinda defeating the purpose of vip but it seems like you kinda want to hide it! VIP discounts get posted in the forums when they are available, they are tweeted when active, and have a big blue banner on your account page when active.
Room promos are random and other discounts are available during contests.
Besides, when you chose to become VIP none of the benefits mention anything about discounts.
