Technical Support: Asterisks!
I am aware that F4f replaces certain dialogue in chat (like websites) with asterisks. But something is weird today. Entire conversations are showing up as NOTHING but asterisks. This includes what the model is saying. I saw this in two different rooms, and with several users. I saw an entire dialogue balloon from from model show up as asteerisks only. What is going on??

OK, models experimented a bit. It seems to be connected to screen resolution. When they increased the screen resolution, it stopped!

I have the same problem... It is strange... Rarely, the whole text gets turned to asterisks but mostly only parts of the word.... for example "cat" in "notifications"...

It also seems more blocked words have been introduced into the system. The other day dog was blocked out when someone said " ***gie" and just now when a model announced a short break

I have the same issue. Words like "lil", my favorite model calls me 'lil" pet and it appears as *** pet.

There are definitely some curious words which are censored and ones with more direct contexts that might not be. Just one example is the word c ut. It has plenty of non violent uses that can come up in casual conversation like getting a hair cu t.

Hello, cut isn't a banned word, but some models have it banned specifically in their room by choice. There are other words I agree however that get caught and don't always have a negative meaning - we see this with awww... for example which gets caught for www. as if it is a domain. It's something we're working on to try to make the filters more nuanced to avoid these kind of blocks.

I’ve encountered a couple of similar incidents.
The strangest was when a model asked where I was from. Every time I typed “u.s.a.” it came up in the chat balloon as “Link”. Happened on several attempts; model even asked if I was trying to send a link. When I switched to just type “u.s.” everything was fine.
Also irritating/frustrating to me is when I use ellipsis (“...”) in chat and after a few times a warning pops up from the server that I am danger of being suspended for trying to send links or web addresses. I must say it seems we have gotten to the point of over engineering how the website works for a word like ******* to get blocked.

The latest word to get ******* is 'number' which came up quite often this past week in chat as models and members were both monitoring and sharing information about status of contest positions.
I must say it seems we have gotten to the point of over engineering how the website works for a word like ******* to get blocked.
Not supposed to share any phone ****** unless it's on Flirt Phone, LOL

In some instances, there will even seem to be an exchange of these blank messages between more than one person.

This makes it look as if multiple words are being wiped away. The entire balloon, however, is like this, not just a portion where certain unacceptable words may have been nor are there any ****s.

This is just a theory, but I would if the empty chat bubbles are emojis not showing up because of a graphic card or something similar. I have seen several times that I will post an emoji and all I see initial is an empty chat bubble but after a couple of second it appears. There are some members that post nothing but emojis which would explain the varying length but may not actually be a conversation as you suspect. Just a thought trying to think outside of the box

Actually, I frequently use emojis myself - in fact, my keyboard will switch to a fairly large selection. The ones I send as well as those from the hostesses and from other users all show up quite readily (at least, as far as I know). They are appearing frequently enough and regularly enough that I don’t think this is the problem.
