Technical Support: HTTPS Support Now Live
The long wait is over, because we’re pleased to announce that as of September 18th, 2017, Flirt4Free is now transitioned from HTTP to HTTPS.
For our users that don’t know, HTTPS (Hyper Text Transfer Protocol Secure) is the secure version of HTTP. As of today, all communications between your browser and our website will be encrypted.
Users will experience less concerns with security, meaning that you’ll be able to have more peace of mind when providing information or when interacting with cam2cam over Chrome. The switch will also help resolve other site issues and improve the Flirt4Free experience for both users and broadcasters.

I am still being asked for Flash. When will Flash no longer be necessary for cam2cam and to view VODs?

Flash will no longer be required for VOD in early October. It will still be used for Cam2Cam for a couple of months.

With this change I have been having major problems. I set my main page search and it will not keep, I select hide transgender and it stays on. when I change room my chat settings are reset if I had sound off it is turned on, I always keep grey users off and it is turned back on. I reset my display select next room and they are all reverted back so I have to reset them again. I open the site in a new tab (account page, forums, or second main page) and at first it is OK but I quickly get logged out of second page and cannot log back in. close it, open it again and it works then stops again. I went through and deleted cookies and history but still keeps happening. Also with this change I keep getting flash crashing (firefox) or timeout (Chrome) with every room I go into then I have to change to the browser video player every time. Is there a way I can set the browser video player as default?

Thank you for the feedback, we have opened a ticket to investigate. By your detailed description it sounds like the issues you are encountering are related to how the cookies are being set in your browser. We're going to see if we can recreate and come up with a solution.

I wanted to reply to regarding this issue and point out what you already mentioned in that if you are switching between HTTPS and HTTP it's going to cause issues with COOKIES because the end up being saved differently and don't have access to each other as they are treated as different environments really.
So it seems maybe that a few pages/links on our site are not respecting the HTTPS when it is. We'll start hunting these down to help eliminate this issue you're experiencing. If you could provide us with any links you know for sure are linking to the HTTP version of the site when on HTTPS would be extremely helpful.
Ultimately once we start forcing and redirecting everyone to the HTTPs version of the site this problem will resolve itself.

Just a quick note, that most will realize, but I forgot!! If you have a bookmark for the old system, dont forget to remove it from your lists and establish a new bookmark for the new https system. When I did that many of the problems above disappeared

Links in emails of model and VOD online notifications to photos, videos, model bios, etc. all need "https://"

It's a mystery to me why https for this site isn't selected by default by our browsers like it does with all websites, but nonetheless thanks for putting up that long awaited improvement.

Is there an expected time when the https change will be available on all the 'white' sites. I found this site originally through one of those and I occasionally use it. But when I tried to set it up to be https I keep getting page load timeouts to load the main page, I can still use the non secure http.

I am not sure what this update was suppose to accomplish but it is getting rediculous that I have to keep logging back in every time I cahnge rooms or try to post something.

I see that existing links in forum pages are http and not https. If I click on one of these I find I need to log in again...
[I decided to edit this, as I see the same point was made in an earlier post. When I clicked on the Edit button I needed to log in again!!

After flash is no longer required for Cam2Cam, will the delay be gone? For me, Cam2Cam is completely unusable because of it.

Yes, the delay (latency) when using Cam2Cam will be reduced with the C2C no longer uses Flash. Additionally, we have other projects nearing completion to help reduce latency (from the performer to you). So it's all part of the same puzzle and we're actively working hard to get it as near real-time as possible.
