While I'm very happy to see the site is back up - and you're offering discounts to the customers to make up for it, I can't help but ask - what are you doing to make it up to the models? Without them, you have nothing...

If you think Flirt should do something for the models, please comment on this thread so they can see it.

I'm also not totally buying the routine maintenance thing. Something major happened. No one takes down a site in primetime for routine maintenance. Please do something for the models, I agree.

I agree the models need to be compensated. I also do not buy the routine maintenance thing. the site has been a train wreck for a week. it happens often. Also, are you offering 20% extra on credits??? wooooohooooo oh wait.... bullshit.

Their discounts start at buying $100 worth. At $100 you get 5% free credits, at $250 you get 10% free credits and at $500 you get 15% free credits. All these discount levels have been seen many times before so it doesn't seem like they're giving us customers anything extra...

I understand that something similar happened last year and the models were NOT compensated for it. Maybe if enough people complain the Flirt might consider it?

i've seen some good deals but my credit card errors out. i added another one and it worked once and then it errored out. i'm not calling billing services; i'm on the phone all day at work with problems; this is my relaxing time. :)

p.s. i'm willing to do my part and catch up with the models. that is if i can get more credit card to work. :)

I personally have not seen any special discount related to the site being down. As far as making it up to the models that lost a days worth of wages I think it's a pipe dream that a cooperation seriously cares. Flirt is not a ma and pa business they're in business to make a profit. My guess is they're probably more concern with loosing a days worth of their commission than the model from Romania or Columbia that lost a days worth of wages. I personally have given a extra tip to my top favorites and i hope others do the same. I think it would be nice if flirt would give a extra incentive discount on credits to stimulate tips and shows. I hope this doesn't come across as being overly negative.

Yesterday they had some special discounts that appeared when you were in a models room (at the top of the screen). Sometimes 20% more credits and sometimes 25% more credits. I don't see those showing up now. But when they did it said nothing about being because the site was down.

Yesterday they had some special discounts that appeared when you were in a models room (at the top of the screen).

Those discounts are a regular occurrence now. They were available before the Routine Maintenance event.

they definately need to do something for the models, especially when it took them 3 hours before they even posted on twitter about the issue. its not fair on them to be stuck waiting to work not knowing whats going on. i know issues happen but this was pretty poorly handled and i really do think the models deserve more.

:thumbsup :thumbsup Yes Mike and all the others. Compensation IS need, may be a fair thing would be compensation based on the models income for the same day last year. I bet the FFF staff did not loose their total income for the day, and as for keeping the users informed as to what was happening it was not an example of modern effective communication

Compensation for any model based on what they did a year ago I don't believe would be fair. Model popularity can change drastically over a year, not to mention the very popular ones that weren't even here a year ago. Maybe averaging that day of week for the last 3 months... :twocents

It's unfortunate that performers who intended to be online lost that income. The idea to pay them based on what they earned on some date in the past be it last year, last week or yesterday is interesting. But how is that implemented and how does anyone determine which performers were actually going to be online? After all not every performer works on the site daily. I speculate performers based in studios have a schedule for when they will be online. Okay, lets say studio performers can be accounted for but what about the others?

Here's a scenario.
Site Management says, " attention performers we will pay each of you $XX/hour for all the hours you were going to be online the day of the Routine Maintenance. (:orglaugh nice phrase) So who was going to work that day and how many hours?"
All the site's performers will say, "Oh yeah I was going to work 24 hours on Routine Maintenance Day." Then Site Management says, "okay everyone gets paid the full 24 hours because they told us they were going to be online that time."
It's not practical and that is reality. I'm not saying all performers would do this but if someone is offering free money a lot of people are going to step up to have a share in that.

I wonder why??? maybe the new nerd in billing pressed a wrong button lol lol BUT if it was " routine maintenance" that would mean that it was scheduled and therefore everyone should have been notified in advance and no problems would have existed. But no, there was no notification in advance to models or even a simple tweet on the f4f site say it was coming up.
