There have been times I've been in model's rooms and experienced extreme lag, like 5 minutes or longer. The chat is always instantaneous but the video often is very behind. It's hard to say if this is a problem with the model's internet or with Flirt but it happens on occasion.
Most recently, it occured during a Group Show. It was a 10 minute show and we all couldn't figure out why the model was just sitting there. I'm in this model's Fan Club and he does not just sit there. Believe me! The lag carried over into the Group Show ... and it was well over 10 minutes at least 15 minutes. Afterward he signed off in an attempt to troubleshoot but I guess those credits are lost to time.
This is an issue that should be examined a little more closely. Thanks. Quote
We apologize that you are having issues streaming video's or using the Cam2cCam service. Here are a few things that may help you with your streaming issues.
1. Check your internet speed by going to Speed test.net Look at the bandwidth and the "ping" time. If the bandwidth is lower than 3 MB or the ping time is above 50ms, you may want to look at talking with the broadband provider to see what it will take to raise the speed and decrease the ping time.
2 Are you hardwired (using an Ethernet cord) or are you connecting via wifi?
If it's the later, look at how many other networks are in range. If there's a lot of networks for your wifi, it's like trying to hold a conversation at a crowded dinner party or even a stadium sporting event.
3. Clear the browser cache and cookies. How to do it varies depending on the browser.
4. Hard drive space. As computers get older the hard drives get filled up over time. Windows machines use free space on the hard drive to swap data out of memory. A full or very fragmented drive will slow things down since it has to search around for areas to put that data.
5 Physical memory. How much ram you have installed along with how much stuff you have running at the same time. If you leave multiple browser windows or even tabs open to multiple web sites that cuts in on your physical memory causing the system to lag and can often cause connection issues.
6. Hardware (other than the drives or memory) Here's where it gets a bit sticky. Easiest test would be bring another computer or laptop in and try viewing on it. If it works fine and everything else.
7. If the video appears that the video is displaying all pixelated or lags. There are several steps they can do to fix this. You can do this in the c2c test page, or you can do this in the models room on that side panel by clicking the little webcam icon. First click the screen icon in the lower left corner. Uncheck the box that says “Enable hardware acceleration). Click close then click “Allow”. I have attached screen shots to show you how to do this. Quote

I think you misread what I said. I am not having the problem. The model is. There's a simpler check: get into 4 or 5 rooms at once and see if they are all suffering from that problem or just the one model.
In this case, it's just the one model. This is a problem that happens occasionally to one model and not others. In this last instance, there were 3 people (including me in this group Show and we ALL were experiencing the same problem. The model's video feed was in sync with all of us ... but about 15 -20 minutes lagged.
It's not an issue I can resolve or research. Quote

Hi FreneticallyCalm, thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback on the forums. I have returned the credits lost from the group show, back to your account plus a little extra for the inconvenience. We will look into this matter and we are going to continue to find ways to improve the experience of the site. Thank you for your patience.

Yeah. This is exactly what was happening the last time. Tiny little lags which seemed to add up to a monstrosity of a lag. He eventually disconnected and reconnected, and that resolved the issue. Quote
I went into a private chat and about a minute in there was lag and then I was booted out and then the website said I had given a shot glass to the performer. I tried again with the same performer and same thing happened. I went to another performer thinking maybe it was her internet but same thing happened about 3 minutes in. Please Help! Quote

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with shows and shot glasses. I'd like to understand more about your problem:
Lag means different things to different people. For some people it means the video is delayed so that what you're watching is very far in the past. For others it means that the video is pretty much real time but freezes often. Which is it for you?
Did you send any shot glasses to any of the performers or was that a total surprise for you?

'ping' LMAF
the first thing we are told is to 'check our connection.' its usually the hosts room with the problem expecially with the lag. a simple remedy is to go to the 'next room' and see if the problem persists. if that connections okyou can discount your connection. next step would be to see the other rooms in the same studio (if you know them) a problem here would indicate that the studio its self has an issue, this could be localised to one room or the whole studio. lastly i always check another live stream on another site. The lag I think this thread was started for, is for is when the room is way behind what the real time model is doing. in a couple cases the model has a room on another site and I can log in there and can see how bad the video lag is. I can ask the model to do something obvious in room like move a pillow and then watch on other site it is moved, while here it can be like 10 to 20 minutes + until it is moved. I have noticed it a lot with some Russian models (Adonis Gold, and Magnolia Ray, not sure if they are in same studio but you can check that.) Again if the model logs out and back in, some times it clears up (but not always) I also checked with different browsers / hardware and here video is showing same lag on this site. so do do not see how clearing my cache etc. would help any.

Glad to hear we're all talking about the same issue and thank you for the examples of regions/performers that I can use as an example.
We recently made some changes to reduce the frequency of lag like this so it will be interesting to compare this set of performers before and after our changes.
This thread was quiet for a few days and I was hoping to interpret that as a positive result. Has anyone noticed a change for better/worse?
