Was there some sort of update today?
Keep getting kicked from rooms with error messages regarding connection issues, vods are not playing, and all seems slow to load.

Same thing for me. I probably got my worst experience today regarding the technical issues. My private session disconnected on many times, cam2cam was super buggy having to restart it every 2 minutes and the lag was huge. To finish, I couldn't see the model responding in chat for the last 15 minutes of my private. I then opened another tab and saw that the model was back in free chat, while having the same video feed in my private session.. really weird..

There was an issue earlier this morning (PT) which required a reboot of some core equipment to address the problem. That happened around 11am PT. Since then we've been diagnosing a few things the last of which was resolved around 4pm PT where some performers were appearing as online on the homepage yet their room would not load when you clicked it.

We're still monitoring things, but if you are seeing problems now please post and let us know. More details the better as always. We'll keep looking into various parts of the system from this side to see if we spot anything out of the ordinary.

Yeah. Around 10 pm PST everything stopped working for me. I checked other websites to see what was up. It was just Flirt. It lasted maybe 10 or 15 minutes.
When I got back on, the model I wanted to see signed off. It was a sad moment cause we had a good thing going.

sort of the same here tonight. I was taken to another room once, but for many times during the night, I had loading signs and unable to connect messages appearing on screen, but somehow stayed in the room.

I was in my fave model's room waiting for him to return from private and next thing Im in someone else's room, why do you bump ppl to other rooms Id rather just returned to the home page not someone I dont want to see

I have been having connection problems for weeks (eg extreme delays in moving from one room to another, upper left cursor goes round and round forever, need to refresh often, frozen models, message that I cannot access this site, etc). Google Chrome is my browser but I did not have these problems until last month.

Seriously though ... I get slow loading when I enter rooms but I usually enter multiple rooms at a time, up to 4.
I have to open a room, let the page load. Wait.
Open the next room, let it load. Wait. etc.
I've gotten my favorites accustomed to not talking to me for about 5 minutes when I first enter their rooms.
Also, I have 2 computers. I do NOT have any other programs open when I plan to go on Flirt. I have 1 computer (my older one) dedicated to Flirt. This is a demanding website so you can't have a bunch of programs running in the background.

Looks like I am not the only one encountering problem with F4F's compatibility with Chrome. I did not experience these problems during my three years of membership until a couple months ago. I hear some of you go through extraordinary measures to make it work. Some of us, however, get frustrated and lack the patience to utilize extraordinary methods simply to log on and enter a chat room without extreme lag time. Sadly, some of us are using other sites and spending money where these problems do not exist at the level they do at F4F.

Forgot to say that getting booted from a chat room with an error message is a new problem that occurred twice to me. I will add it to my list of other issues that make F4F a less friendly site for members and users to spend money. As I said, this problem evolved over the past two months.

At first I used Safari, but then I read somewhere that Chrome is the recommended browser. I recently discovered that there is a add-on or something specifically for running Flash on Chrome. This made it run a little smoother for me. I have a Mac, and I found the download under Flash on my computer’s settings menu. There has been a 10-15 second delay between video and chat for my entire Flirt experience, but I have always blamed that on being across the ocean from the models I visit.

At 1st i used safari with no issues, my first 6-10 months on site Then when issues started it was suggested I use puffin. Puffin has worked 99% of the time until now., 1.5-3 years. Now i use firefox & it is horrible. 8-25 sec lag time, random booting out of rooms, video quality is not as good as puffin neither. 7-10 days ago is when puffin stopped working., let me correct that, it works on the site as long as i do not enter any room. Once I do that no video or chat appears it just keeps loading.

In my time here, I have to vote that Chrome is the best server to use. That goes for both desktop and mobile platforms.

However, I know during the summer I had a HUGE issue with Chrome. My privates via didn't allow for C2C. When I swapped to Firefox but it would constantly freeze and delays were later than usual.

It was frustrating to models too because there really wasn't much they could do. After a few months, Chrome picked up for the better but there will be times when I also get bumped to other rooms but nothing to drastic or during privates.

Could you at least stop the booting to a new room when connection problems appear ?

It's actually acting more and more weird - today I always got echoed sound short before I got beamed away.


The issue we've been seeing recently is related to equipment which distributes requests across a cluster of servers. The equipment in question only has one power supply and it appears there is a power issue which causes it to go offline resulting in the secondary device "taking over". During this handoff the site gets very unstable for 30-60 seconds while the connections are established.

We expedited new equipment which arrived at our main datacenter by courier late last night. We will have technicians on-hand this morning to install and monitor.
