Technical Support: Screen names in private
I rarely use my original username. Most of my favorite models know me by a screen name other than my username.
However, when I enter a private chat, the system makes me sign into the private using my username. This typically leads to the model saying "Oh, hi, who are you?" and I have to explain that the guy they just talked to for 10 minutes was me under a different name, which - btw - completely negates the whole purpose of having an alternate screen name.
Is there a way to log into a private using a screen name? If not, what exactly is the point of having screen names, if you have to reveal your username whenever you enter a private? Quote

You can type ANY of your ACTIVE user names and password for each private .
Most have checked "Remember me" box and use the same name .
The model will see the name YOU type before you enter private . When changing names - it makes you retype the password in the past .

LickaU is 100% correct ... login with any of your active screen names and that's the identity that will be used during the paid show.

I tried what you suggested just now, and either I'm not understanding something, or you're not understanding my question.
When I joined this site, which was years ago, I created a username that I'll call "aaa". I never liked the name aaa, so since then I have created a screen name under this username, called "bbb" and I made that my default name. My favorite models know me as bbb.
Now... and here is where one of us is confused - when I hit the 'Go Private' button, it asks for my USERNAME and password. My username is aaa. I only have one password for this site.
If I try to enter bbb and my password, the system says "No results returned for the information provided"
If I enter aaa and my password, I go into private, but I go in as aaa, but like I said, the model knows me as bbb.
"Remember me" is already checked, but it is checked with aaa, my username. I don't see how to add a password to bbb. I don't see how to add another USERNAME. I have one username and several screen names.
I hope this better explains the situation. I hate being dense, but I really don't understand, so your help is greatly appreciated. Quote

As LickaU said uncheck the "Remember Me". Also the default name only "defaults" when you enter open chat. Setting a screen name as default doesn't apply to entering private chat. If you want to enter as "bbb" type bbb and your password, (you have only one password btw, not one for each screen name.) You must type the name as it appears on you account management page under screen names. If you use any upper case letters there you must use them as well in the go private screen. So if your name was BbB that is how it needs to be typed. Hope that helps, good luck.

However, if I type "bbb", wipe out the password field and retype the password - boom - it works. I don't know WHY I need to erase the password and then retype it, but it works that way, so I won't complain.

On the same topic of the original username - (name used when joining and used to access the site)- frequently, in the mail inbox, although a model has written to me as my screen name PeteK and it appears in my inbox as addressed to PeteK, if I use the reply facility at the bottom of that mail, where there is no facility to select which screenname I wish appear on the reply, unlike when using the "compose" link to send a new mail, my reply frequently appears in my Sent box as not being sent by PeteK but as having been sent by my original username which is most likely to be unknown to that model.
This used to happen to tips in the "very old days" when until a model knew you both as your screenname and user name you had to explain who the tip was from as it was different from the name you were using in their room.
Can this be looked into and made that replies to emails are returned in the same name as to which they were addressed? Quote

I really should have checked this part of the forum earlier.
I had the same problem as Worldpeace...and bammm...now its solved..
