Improvements on Account Balance Visibility" and stating ---
Over the years, we have received many requests to improve the visibility of your account balance. This is why we are proud to announce that your suggestions have been made a reality
We have added visibility of your current credits to etc. etc. .........
Any feedback is much appreciated. Thank you!
Vs Charles did respond to some inital feedback but not having received any response to a matter I raised the other day in that thread I presume it is closed and therefore ask for information here regarding the matter I raised.
This was ---
About 8 days ago I received an email to my email address recorded with F4F with a subject title of "Your October Account Balance" telling me how many credits I had and giving links to "Manage MY Account"
On the face of it this email seems to be from yourselves, so is this part of the new visibility of account balance information?
As I cannot find any mention that such emails would be sent and being suspicious of using links in unsolicited emails perhaps you can clarify if this is a genuine mail from you and if it is going to be received every month and whether there is any real need for it?
Thanks Quote

STEPONIT: You probably stopped receiving emails on 10-26-14. Your email provider sent us 3 request that messages were marked as junk. If a user marks a messages as junk, the email provider will notify us so we can remove that person from our mailing list. Is it possible you accidentally marked a message as junk? Go into your "My Account" section and under email re-subscribe to all mailings.
Let me know if that works for you.

and from the News and Announcements thread
To answer everyone's question about email, yes we started sending an "Account Balance" email statement in Oct. It's just a normal account balance statement, similar to one you'd receive from your credit card.
Hi vs_timr
Thanks for the quick response and I apologise for my delay in responding.
As I said in my post there was no mention in VS Beverley's thread that you were starting to do this nor any mention on the site.
However, whilst it appeared on the face of it to come from yourselves, it contained links to use to gain access to my account. Not knowing if my account had been hacked I had to consider whether this was a philishing email to gain my account log in details.
Perhaps I am being over cautious but where my financial details are concerned I do not take risks and would never use a link on what appeared to be an unsolicited email. That link could take you to any fraudulent site.
As you are probably aware that if you use google search for flirt4free it gives a drop down response reply suggesting "flirt4free credits hack" so I presume some are hacking in. Maybe not into members accounts but nothing is certain.
I did end my inital response by asking if there was any need for these advices. We are now advised whereever we look on the site of how many credits we have. You liken this email advice of credit balance to a bank/credit card statement so it would be of more use if it showed the transactions in the preceding month with the opening and closing balances of credits now that we no longer get advised by individual email of purchases.
However this may scare us to death at our spending.
Just my observations!
