I've had this happen in the past, but it seems to be getting worse. I'll have a private with a model, say 25-30 minutes long. I get charged for all that time, and it shows up in my Show History log with the correct number of minutes, but then I click the thumbnail to view the video itself and it is truncated. Sometimes by half or more. Of the dozen privates that I've paid for in the past week, THREE have been truncated. That's not good! :mad :mad :mad :mad

Please send a email to CustomerService@flirt4free.com with more information such as the dates of the shows and the names of the models so we can look further into this issue.

Please note that shows break into multiple recordings for primarily two reasons:
1) Performer stream is unstable
2) Viewer stream is unstable
The slightest break in connection will cut the recording. Our system handles those circumstances by starting a new recording for the show. While, at this time, we are not serving the show as a single recording, we do our best to salvage the show, despite the connection breaks, as multiple recordings.

Thanks for that explanation. I do appreciate it! It does seem that if the system is "smart" enough to label the subsequent parts as #2, #3, etc. it shouldn't be that hard to make it stitch them back together. ... that's just my :twocents for whatever it's worth. This has never happened to me until this week. Two of my shows were split into smaller chunks, and I think I just realized the cause. I almost NEVER do multi-user shows. They are creepy to me, and can be awkward. That said, I did a few this week for whatever reason :drinkup. One of them I knew that another member entered the show because they said something. I can only guess that someone entered the other show too, and I assume it was at this point and for this reason that the VOD became chopped up, because the first part was exclusive to me, and when the other person entered it started to create a VOD for them too. This makes me wonder what would happen if multiple people popped in and out of a multi-user show I was doing Do I end up with several VOD pieces of one show? Very inconvenient, and in my opinion, worth F4F looking into. Not likely to do multi-user again, since like I said, it's not a sensible option to me, but very annoying for people that use it.

That is an interesting hypothesis Z but it happens with the private show setting as well. I have shows entered as private with this same division of parts. One shows says 6 parts but only parts 2, 3 and 6 were salvaged. The other half is lost for good. I am told. The performer's connection was very choppy. If the open room is having glitches I now wait for them to be resolved before entering a show.

Oh, I believe the connection issue is also true for separating VOD segments, but I always check my connection and camera (if plan on using it) before entering private. I know it wasn't a connection issue on my or model's part. There were never any pauses or delays, but I still have the chopped up show.

This happened to me yesterday - paid for 8 minutes but only 4 minutes saved. Second part (which was the best bit) disappeared. Hope it can be put into my contents for future viewing! Have emailed Customer Services so will wait and see

However, we are running at a 99% success rate for imports, so the video loss is incredibly minimal. If you are one of the few that suffer a loss of the show, then it is doubtful that the show will turn up, at this time. Please reach out to Customer Service and they might be able to make an accommodation.

I haven't lost any VODs yet, but every show I've done in the past 2 weeks has been split into 2 parts.

Please remember that the ability to purchase your recording after your show is an added perk that our site offers and we make no guarantees that the recording will be available every time. When you pay for a show, you are paying for the show and only the show. The recording can’t really be refunded if it doesn’t exist. I’ll reach out to CS for further information and see if we can find an accommodation for this situation.

That is a disappointing response, Angela. When you offer something, it doesn't seem acceptable to say after the fact "well, we didn't guarantee it." VIPs are offered access to the VODs of their private shows. Is it acceptable to then say, "well we didn't guarantee that we would have recordings of all of them." So we should just hope and pray that the VODs we want are recorded and stored appropriately? If there is one thing I have discovered in my time with Flirt, there is a major customer service component missing....the point between creating/changing a feature and enacting it. It doesn't appear that there are tests done beforehand, such as "oh, that behaves differently on Chrome vs IE or FireFox," or "the newest update of XX browser affects our update in this way." It's more "let's just do what we're doing and see if anyone complains." You may achieve the best result eventually, but from the perspective of the customer, more care needs to be taken. Expectations of customer response also seem to be a bit off (see your post about VODs not playing).

Sorry Angela but I have to disagree with you, it is advertised that as part of a private show a video is available to watch for 24 hours so all VODs need to be available as part of the show.
