A featured show is listed as starting at a time EST. Is that correct? Or should it have been Eastern DST? Quote
Thanks for taking the time to contact Customer Support through the forums. The site uses EST (Eastern Standard Time) as the default. If you go to the Calendar under "Live Cams" then you'll be able to select your timezone and then see the shows listed times in your timezone.
Thanks again! -EJ

This is typical of the secrets and MISINFORMATION I have gotten from this site lately. It is not right. We deserve an accurate answer.
PS: I just CALLED F4F and explained the apparent error. Yes, it is indeed EASTERN US TIME, which currently is Eastern Daylight Savings Time, NOT Eastern Standard Time. Anyone looking for show at EST would have just missed it. Quote

It's not rocket science, you don't have to make everything a conspiracy against you just because you can't understand.

Seriously. Are you really carrying on this crusade because they used the term "standard" instead of "daylight"? Good lord. This definitely falls into the category of "If this is the worst thing that happens in your life...."

Perhaps if you UNDERSTOOD the words, youwould know WHY it makes a difference.
Most of the US follows Daylight Savings Time this time of year. That includes New York, which is the location on which F4F bases its schedules.
But most countries (Including Colombia, where there are lots of webmodels here), and even some states in the US, DO NOT follow DST, and remain on "Standard Time" year round. As such, they remain an hour BEHIND DST. So if I am looking to see a show at 9am EDSRT, but arrive at 9 EST, I have just missed it.
It is a simple matter to use the correct terminology, so people know what the heck time you mean. The first response I got here said F4F uses EST, which is simply WRONG. Not a conspiracy, but an incorrect answer by someone who should be more careful not to give misinformation.

Hahaha. It's not too difficult to just assume the time posted is "the time it is now in New York, whether or not New York is currently on daylight savings time." We all understand the difference between EDT and EST, and we all understand that not everyone country or state goes on daylight savings time. And we all understand that yes, this is an error on Flirt's part. But maybe the crusade itself--and not whatever is the subject of today's crusade--is actually the important thing to some people.
