Technical Support: Whispering

Since the last week, my favorite model can't whisper anymore to me. I however still can whisper to her myself. She says I'm the only one with whom she can't whisper. If I use another screen name, everything goes back to normal and whispers can go through from both sides. I tried to contact support on this, but they didn't seem to understand the issue. Has anyone else had experienced something similar?

This is actually a known issue with that specific version of the software that we will be fixing shortly. Usernames that start with "A" aren't working, but should be soon as we put out the update. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Probably some of them are on the version with the issue and others are not. We should hopefully have everyone on a version without this issue today.

That is exactly right, Twixel, and it is what F4F advise in their FAQ:

However, I have never been happy with the F4F example. The advice states that whispering can be very disruptive to the overall chat experience, and should only be used where necessary. But if whispering is used for basic messages like "hi" and "how are you" it finishes up being used for everything.
Just adding that point in the interest of balance...
Not suggesting yet another debate about whispering - especially in this Technical Support forum. It has been discussed extensively in 4 other forums here.

Hehe, I agree Ronnie. That was a bad example on my part.
Whispering should be used for the needed private conversations, such as setting details for a show or something.
too many whisper with the model and then they have no time to visit with the room as they are too busy keeping up with whispered conversation. take them private if you want to take up all their time.
Of course it doesn't help when the model starts it off.

moses, Forumsprache ist English, bitte respektiere das und nutze einen Translator, wenn es nicht anders geht.
DU kannst das Flüstern nicht aktivieren. Wenn ein Model es deaktiviert hat, kannst Du freundlich fragen, ob er/sie es für alle Nutzer freischaltet. Dann einfach, wie in den Beispielen hier jeden Satz mit einem "/" beginnen.
