Technical Support: pages being served up without a stylesheet
dont know if it is just me but I keep getting pages served up that have no stylesheet info.
i get the site served p with a white background and all the images and layout down the left side of the page.
If I refresh a couple of times then it works but then ext tim e I navigate to a new page, it happenes again.
this is on 2 differnt pcs, 2 different networks (home and at my office)
I seems like there is a server or two that supplies the style sheets and they are failing but at least one server is available and i can hit that one if I refresh enough times.
cdnet dot vs dot com works but every page that references ecsm dot vs dot com fails to supply the stylesheet

Things are much more smoother today
Too bad HD is stagerring audio lags ect, ect, ect.

I can't be the only one having issues..
I have to refresh the main page 4 or five times before I get a style sheet to work.
There is one server that is not suppling stylesheets

Do a traceroute mate to the site and add the info here. I don't see this problem here in UK.

I had this happen on Chrome. I called customer support, and they said everything was working fine to clean out my cookies and stuff. I did that. Same issue. Called support back. They said everything was working fine. Try Firefox. Guess what...same issue. I figured that it was just my machine or internet connection. Tested the speed, ran a virus test...everything was fine.
Thus, I came to the conclusion that the customer service folks didn't know what was going on. Glad to see that I wasn't crazy. Quote

I'm guessing it was a matter of time to get all their servers in line. I am having no more such problems.

I think it is just the east coast that is having the issues..
looking at the server name, ECSM (may be East Coast Stylesheet Mxxxx) this might be plausable.

I only experienced this a couple times when this thread originated. However since last night it is happening all the time. Every page needs to be refreshed. Was a reason ever determined? Thank you. Quote

Yes the problem was with us in the UK for over a week during the Christmas break - the thread was "pages not loading" repaired and deleted.
VS craig was the contact, you will need to send him your IP address, for him to check. I never did get an answer to the problem, I guess it was a routing problem, (no expert) -
Today I have a minor problem with my gifts pages, not expanding - on and off. Otherwise all now working.

jeffie, I almost sent a cry to you for help finding that recent thread but found this one instead. You always seem to find them.

Yes it got deleted that thread ... I kinda asked for it to go in one way ... The problem is fixed guys..
IF... You still see the problem on any browser now clear your cookies and the cached files. That should make things all good now if you still see that problem.
The other thing you can try is this too. All you need to do is open a DOS prompt in windows and type ipconfig /flushdns.
In steps ...
1- clear your cookies and cached files in the browser.
2- open a DOS Prompt by going to start menu and find the run area and type in there CMD then enter, it will open a new black box the DOS prompt.
3- in the DOS prompt area type this only ipconfig /flush dns and then enter it will then say "
C:UsersYOUR LOGIN NAME>ipconfig /flushdns
Windows IP Configuration
Successfully flushed the DNS Resolver Cache."
if you see this it confirms you did it right and then just login to flirt4free again and see how it goes.

The cookies and cache cleaning did not work. I guess I will try your DOS suggestion but wonder why it is necessary when I found a VS affiliate site and the problem does not occur there. Why does this "glitch" occur only on F4F where I am a member?

Asti you can login to any of the VS sites with same password and login name, they are F4F just skinned.
Can you do this below too :-
Please perform the following test in Internet Explorer. Please note, that its important not to use FireFox or Chrome for this test.
1.Click around the site until you get the broken page.
2.Right click on the page and select View Source.
3.In the new View Source window, please search for the text layout_03.css.
4.You should find an entry that looks like the following:
i.e. http://ecsm.vs.com/min/css/skins/flirt4free/layout_03.css
5.We need to know what the domain in that URL is. This will tell us which CDN is having the problem.
i.e. http://ecsm.vs.com/
