If a select few are having this issue, doesn't it seem more likely that it's a user issue, not a site issue? Check your flash player for updates, restart your browser, restart your computer, all of those troubleshooting for beginners tasks. That's why I said this is not the biggest issue with Flirt right now, because it's not their problem, but I'm sure they will investigate and assist. Quote

Earlier today we rolled out some changes to address the situation where you'll attempt to join a chat room but it never connects and instead displays the red-box-of-death before sending you to a different room (which may occur several times in a row). Our reporting indicates a sizable improvement but I'm here seeking feedback because I feel like we didn't address all possible ways to trigger the error. I've got some additional data points being gathered that should help me track down remaining instances but could use your help sorting through the noise. Quote

Could you please confirm this situation please? You had a chat room open on your iPad and then restarted it. Upon opening your browser again the room you were chatting in immediately before restarting appeared and that's when you encountered the error.
To put that differently: it didn't error when you first entered the room it errored out after you had been inactive in the room for some amount of time (due to the restart).

I was in a models room today and the loss of connection to the video server kept happening, I also logged into her room from an affiliated site and I noticed that when the disconnect happened it happened to both connections at the same time. When then I changed the affiliated site login to a different models room and when the disconnect happened on the F4F site it did not happen to the affiliated site. So that would lead me to beleive it is something in the model application she is running that is causing the disconnect. Also in the main model room guys tended to say they were disconnected at the same time and the model also got an 'black screen' in her application. Quote

This is a good time to point out that lots of different kinds of issues can lead to not being able to connect to a room or the video of that room. We've already addressed a couple of these things and have seen an improvement and expect to see more improvements in the coming days as we resolve network issues and update performer software. Quote
