[Suggestion] Why disabling tips during pledging for group shows?

waiting for a group show to start can take quite long. If the performer keeps teasing during that time, I feel the need to keep tipping independently of having made a pledge or not. Also there is always the hope to get more people to pledge when they see the excitement of others .
So, I was wondering, why the tips are inaccessible/disabled from within the chat room (I could always send a tip as a virtual gift or into a tip target, but for that I have to leave the chat window). I can keep boosting, since that is integrated in the panel on the right, but how to give a tip for encouragement?
I think the "send tip" is still there when a performer is in private with someone else ...
Would be great if you could consider to change that ... and I hope to see some opinions here, thanks in advance .

Sorry, Chris, but I don't like this at all...
When the new interface was designed a couple of years ago it was possible (in the initial design) to pledge and tip during the pledge stage of a group show.
The tipping option, which you are suggesting here, was dropped because it could cause confusion and irritation.
Members might tip instead of pledge, and then feel that they should be included in the group show.
During the pledge stage members like to see other members pledging as much as they can. Seeing members giving tips rather than pledging could cause ill-feeling.
btw I couldn't find the earlier discussion - not sure which of 3 possible forums

I just find myself in this situation a lot, having pledged already a certain amount and wanting to tip a 10 just to keep the mood up, you know? In particular, when it becomes clear, that the group is not going to work out ... Quote

ronnie-uk, I think it was in this forum in the "New interface" thread started by MykeyLikesIt two years ago now. I actually made the same suggestion ChrisDK did, and it got shot down back then as well. Quote

I was asking for this feature to be able to show my appreciation and adoration in a situation where a lot of users don't pledge and just watch the performer trying to tease them into a group show. These phases fill easily half an hour with many users continuing with bold requests that would obviously be addressed IN that group, however, in that situation could not even tip for their requests.
There are already too many visitors, including greys, freeloading in open and party chat where tipping should be the mains mean for us to interact with a performer while enjoying his/her company.
Privates for those members who can afford them are ALWAYS available and when a party or group ends, a good performer will be whisked away on the spot.
A good performer will not ask for more tips during a group, but try to get a larger group together with sufficient credits.
A good performer will and should be tipped during group shows without having to ask for it. Quote
Even I at times wanted to tip a model while a group show is about to start not because I was looking for a flash, it's just that may be the only time I get to see model & say hi and don't have enough time to wait for the group show to end and then tip. And I usually don't prefer offline tipping. But if a tip option in this case can cause confusion as mentioned by admin above, then probably better off without it... Quote
