Technical Support: New policy? Boost points not counting or being discarded?
I have been told by a model that no more than 50% of their power score can now come from boost points, and that anything above that won't be recognized. Unfortunately the change has happened with as usual no warning or announcement. Now come the questions...
Let's say a model has 0 power score and I boost him 10K, which as a VIP translate into 2000 power score points, what happens?
Their power score stays at 0?
What if the model earns 2000 power score after my boost. Does my boost now count?
Do I as a user get a warning that my boost won't count?
Do I get a refund of boost points if they can't be used?
Does the boost expire 7 days after I boosted or after it started making an impact?
What about boosts we gave in the past 7 days? Do they suddenly not count?
I don't see any updates to the user side of things to indicate this has gone into effect. Depending on your answers above we could be throwing points away. Are you planning to update the user language with this change?

There was no announcement since that's been in place since the beginning. Obviously it would not make sense to be able to boost a performer completely from the bottom to the top. That would lead to abuse.

Hi Brad,
Does a model know what percentage of their power score is derived from power boosts? If they did, then they could balance the focus between shows, groups, party chats and tips versus asking for Power Boosts. What I'm trying to say is I don't think many models or members understand this and, as fans, we want to do all we can to support the models in a way that makes sense for them. Thanks. Quote

I am sure I have boosted models who hadn't been on in a very long time, and they moved up enough to where they could immediately start party and group. In fact I did that just a couple of days ago. Did a bug in the code get fixed where the behavior has now changed to what it should be? It is possible the model only just noticed this because it hasn't happened before.
Also, even if this is how it is supposed to be, what are the answers to my questions? How does it handle boost points given in those situations? It greatly affects how I will boost since I don't want them to just be thrown away. Quote

Brad - I have seen new models with no tips and no VODs on Day 1 or 2 be in the top 20 . [Female]
Maybe it is fixed now .
I would rather know if a power boost could help a model before I power boost them
The models who are off over 1 week need help from power boosts to not be last . Does that mean I and others have wasted time to power boost models who have just returned ? Quote

as i'm getting contradictory stories from various models and chatters, could someone please explain the 50% thing (preferably from VS) ... say, if a model gets 50,000 boost points in one go, is that a partial waste of points ... would it be better to send 10,000 a day for 5 days .. or is there really no difference (apart from them falling off the radar after 7 days, which i understand) .. and also, is it different if a model's in the top 20 rankings or not?
